It'll almost certainly be LHS 3447 (space station), or Assellus Primus (planet base).

Colonia. Same time they drop a HT Coriolis.

Oh, and its technically possible to merge xbox, win10 and ps4. Amazon says so.

One comes with SRV, other comes with extra cargo space. Not sure which is which, but I have the guess the game will tell you when you make that choice.

Assellus Prime has planetary mission's which will can boost your funds as well as the res zones, big thanks to cmdr ChaosWulff for that little tip

and LHS 3447, if I recall correctly, comes with a automagically assigned starter delivery mission that pays 10,000 credits. Allows for an update or two to the stock freebie Sidewinder.

Assellus Prime comes with the SRV, and you start at a planetary base. LHS 3447 starts at an outpost, with the extra cargo space. Starting at the outpost means no tricky leaving the dock - lift off straight from the landing pad.

EDIT, and yes, the commander creation screen describes which is which ...

How much does an srv cost?

The starter 10k mission you mention also leads you to some generic tutorial missions (trade, combat etc) available through the missions boards at different stations in the system.

So it sounds like you have to choose between SRV and 10,000 credit starter mission. Do I read you correctly?

oh dear! I take it then this region will be super busy launch day. I take it then these areas are deep within the bubble? don't know to start solo or open to gather appropriate funds and possible warchest

When you first start you are in a Solo instance until your first SC or hyperspace jump in Open so don't worry. You can practice the basic flight before you even risk running into anyone.

I can confirm on the XBOX with Horizons and 2.3 you do get the choice between a Random location near LHS 3447 in a Sidewider without an SRV, or at Bakers Propect in Assellus Primus in a Sidewinder with an SRV.

Personally, I recommend Bakers Prospect if you get the Horizons Edition. Here's why:

- SRVs are fun, and can be stored and transfered between ships

- Taking off from a planet is fun (before launching, return to surface and use your camera to look around)

- The systems near Asselus Primus are iconic (to me anyways)

- After running the training mission you'll have $10K, enough to buy a "D" FSD and Docking Computer, both of which are sold at Bakers Prosepct (as well as other stations - tip use www.EDDB.io to find them)

PS You can watch me start anew with a Sidewinder in episode 1 of Two Guys in Space:

I'm actually looking forward to the traffic jams around all the systems within jump range of the starter system. I think I'll just park off station and watch for awhile. It's like sitting at the mall and watching people go by. And if enough noobs crash and burn, there might be lots of free cargo to scoop up! Hmmm... Maybe I'll save the SUV for later and start with the larger cargo hold ;)

In any case, you PS4 day-one'rs are all going to be starting on an equal footing. And I imagine half of you will buy a Hauler rather soon, so your Sidewinder will be the superior combat vessel. Well until you find Eagle pilots, which is also super cheap.

This may not be the correct spot to ask this, but. Would should any of you make videos of your missions, PLEASE indicate the fact that your doing do on the ps4 platform in your title by adding (ps4) to i5. There's really no reason to watch and learn if the process of accomplishing via controls which are different than they are on pc or xbone. Thanks!
