New to Elite!!!

So I'm new to the Elite games. I have been gaming for a very long time now and must of just missed the Elite series, but I must say (and I normally hate flight sims) I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! The visuals are great on a 3.04 meter projector screen and I have a Oculus Rift DK2 on order just for this game too... I believe I have found my second life. I have to say to the devs, great job, it's a beta and it rocks. I cannot wait to get home and sit in front of the project (3D enabled) and just be in space and with this game, your in space. I love it, stuff like this makes me so happy to be born in the time I was born in.

I so look forward to taking over the galaxy and robbing you all blind.

Lol, it would be if they changed my name to what it is on the forums... Alas, I do like my piracy... IRL I'm not a thief or a dishonest man. I will be looking for a guild of pirates. Please remember though, I'm roll playing it. I think this game will be my SAO (Sword Art Online). I cannot think of a time I've been this excited about playing a game!!! Squirrel!

Damnation man - that is exactly what I felt when I first played Frontier in the 90s! Now I feel old. But you have made me full of retrospection and have a fuzzy feeling inside now. So thanks for that.

This is my first taste of the elite universe as well. Even though I am a lifelong gamer, I think I was just a tad to young when the other Elite games came out, as I just turned 30 about a month ago. Having a blast during my limited playtime and can't wait to watch the game develop and grow.

Ok, so I have a long way to go before I'm actively pirating, I was doing some trading last night and had a full cargo then got killed by 3 pirate NPCs. I did go back and kill them, but it has made me poor as dirt. For now I guess I'll be hunting NPCs to increase my dog fighting skills and get back to 1000 credits...

Also I have a picture of my 3+ meter projector setup, anyone know where I can upload it without having to make an account somewhere? It's cool but I'm use to it, I'm really looking forward to my Oculus Rift DK2 tho.
