Elite will get 4K patch on Xbox One X

I just read the news on Eurogamer. Here goes:

Space-faring game Elite Dangerous will get a 4K patch for the Xbox One X's launch on 7th November.

The game is being shown here in Los Angeles at E3, where Xbox One X was debuted just two days ago.

"We will of course be embracing it at Frontier," Elite Dangerous director David Braben said in a statement to Eurogamer. "Elite Dangerous runs very well on the Xbox One X, in 1080p and in 4K, at launch."

I was jumping around when i read this. So happy!

Thankfully i already have the TV. Though i can't buy the XboxOneX before January without my wife getting all angry. lol .

But, its so good to know i will be playing Elite Dangerous in less then 1 year form now in 4K! Awesome Stuff!

This should be good even for those with a 1080p TV and an Xbox One X - the Digital Foundry reveals and other stuff officially sourced made it clear that there will be super sampling back down to 1080p for those without 4K sets.

New Xbox and 4K monitor should set me back around £800 ish that's do-able.
ED and Forza in 4K = gaming heaven for me.

I'll be more than happy just with 1080 60FPS, 4k seems a but too overkill for me atm

The Xbox One X is still purportedly going to improve 1080p games.

You're going to get an infinitely bigger jump in picture quality upgrading from an old hdtv to a new 4k hdr tv with the same xbox, than upgrading to the xbox 1x but still playing through your old tv. Unless your old tv was INSANELY high-end.
