General / Off-Topic Might there be a psychological reason as to why I feel the need to hate everything?

Last week it's all I seem to be able to do.

Hate this, hate that, hate anything that moves.

It's curious, really. Hating is self-destructive. Yet, I feel the need to be opposed to everything.

I really have to question why I do this to myself.

Sorry, vent needed. Facebook is not the place for this as it's too personal.

Sometimes it helps to make a gratitude list. I need to do that sometimes.

Nothing changes if its perfect, there is a great Leonard Cohen quote about perfection:

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

Hes what i try to do....

Understand that anger and hate leads to the dark side only affects you (i think you know that part).

Don't try to bury the anger, or even forget it. You need to really look at it. see what it's doing to you and the affect its having on anything else. Find out what is at the core of something that makes you angry, then examine it and see if its worth it.

Example;

See something on TV that gets you worked up... was it the story, was it the person, was it challenging something you believe in. from that point you can narrow down where the anger is coming from.

Then you can ask your self, why is it important, important enough to care about... you may find its not, and that can reduce the anger.

If its something you do care about... tell you self to do something about it, or let it go. Anger is useful, if you use it (i don't mean hit people :). But if you hold onto it , past the point where you are even bothered about what set if off... then you are being angry because you where angry (How dare that person make me angry...i'm so angry about that)

This then set you in a state of constant angry and you have forgot why... and then the littlest thing can set you off.

When you are in a mood, even if its just in the background.... you'er maybe be looking for a target, something you can take on, to vent the angry you have built up (and not sure why, your just worked up for no reason at this point).... you maybe be 'hating' as you need a conclusion, and victory to make your self feel justified... maybe to help forget the anger and get a 'winner' feeling... Maybe to feel empowered.

Hating on everything can be a way for your mind to try and get control over your underlying mood. Projecting the problem onto everything else, in the hopes you can 'win' some 'pride' back, from a situation that passed way before, or a situation that made you angry and you cant fix it directly.

just my thoughts

First at all, avoid facebook like trolls fire. and the same goes to all trolliar media and surface. Even you tube. Only use it, when you have something to do, look after something. The amount of and human negativity takes his toll on you, even if you trying to close it out. if everyone is ticked off and angry harmful toward you around you giving you reason to be like that, than its starts a negative spiral.

I use hate as a powerful and positive moticator.
And it can be, but here is a problem with it.
Destroys your health, and your social life, causes harm to your surrounding. Most of the people cannot step out of it or anger, and constant nervousness. Well? About that? Again! Avoid it at all cost, unless you want to get a mighty fine peptic ulcer, as a psychosomatic sickness. It's just not something what you can use excessively, or allow yourself to be in the constant state of it.

Have a good reading, and also allow me to add something to this as simply as possible.
The thing about stress it's causes your body and mind to enter a "turbo mode" what means it's performing above "factory default". sometimes it can do, because your body regenerates the damage, but the constant state of this kind of stress caused by negative emotional distress can be bad to you. (one more reason to apply anti trolling measures excessively.)

Simple and authentic pleasures are the best antidote against the anger

The implication is that negative feelings are bad. Surely they are bad if always present. But if you need to vent, do so. The Emperor was right - let the hate float through you. But then let it go.

Problem is that it seems all my brain can generate is hateful feelings.

I hate everything on a regular basis. Good for a punch-up but not much else. It really drains you and alienates people.
I can't bring myself to drink the Kool-Aid and be fake like everyone else seems to me (little lies to make themselves look good, normalization of backstabbing and opportunism, popularity at any cost, constantly seeking attention and validation, showing off, university student sanctimony etc.)
If you can be fake I'd suggest it though. Down in the pit we don't like to talk to each other either. It sucks and I wish I was a better actor. Can't beat'em, join'em. Not sure how you'll hang on to your self-respect, though. That's always the hard part.
If you hate the world get a union job. Make sure you don't work too hard. Always feel entitled to more money. Zealously assert yourself all the time over anything.

That sounds very bad, and like a recent change. I would talk to a doctor first, have basic blood work done.

Remember, the brain is ultimately just another organ. A lot of hormonal stuff can make it glitch, and any one of us can develop circulation issues or even a tumor.

I'd have things checked out. Wetware is tricky.

I hate Facebook :D
I saw something funny about Facebook the other day. It was an interview about how the young were influenced to vote this time. Social media was mentioned as a major influence, but an 18 year old stated that she didn't like facebook; because it was for old people and the rest of the group agreed.

So they are using trolliar media thats influencing em, but they are not even there / not liking it?
How is that?

Unless we are overlords or, Chump type figures, we tent to find fault in ourselves if we start to analyse or try to look at ourselves objectively; females tend to do this more than males; again, it is the ego thing.

As to the O.P. Well if you see yourself as a fluffy bunny type of perfection that dances on rainbows, then you will only see the bad things in the world around you. Do unicorns poo or even fart; I wonder?
