I am aware someone did a 3d model of at least one of the ruins, I was meaning more making a model of the locations of the systems. sort of like the star map but majorly stripped back

Yup, understood. There used to be one at https://canonn.sonargaming.com/ed3d/, but this no longer works for me. I resorted to manually bookmarking all the known ones in-game in order to visualize. Good luck with your search! I'm slowly headed out to the recently discovered cluster near Eta Carina, but haven't had a lot of time to play; it's taken me 2 weeks to get halfway out :p

Still looks like a couple of MA pods on the ground/tunnel/cave/covered area to me. but not 100% on that.. happy to be wrong and Alien eggs.

No light shining on them so dull..

E.g similar shape.. this is 2.2 so they glow brightly,, only glow less than that now when SRV or ship lights shine on them.

Will have to get some 2.3 MA pods images and similar light conditions and try recreate the angle.. will try that later.

I put this on spoiler, its about the gamervolution article :
Since the Pax teaser location really match the description, of the gamerevolution article my guess was that those were the "eggs sacs" they described, and that the red glow on the left path was coming from the "teleporter" they also mentioned :

"This landmark had tall, sharp spikes, deep ridges, and was clearly unlike anything the game currently delivers with its procedural generation. My attention was grasped. Approaching closer, the player was able to land their SRV before heading into a nearby cave."

"This was no ordinary cave, though. What was inside were hundreds if not thousands of egg sacs, and slimy walls that clearly were the construction of something beyond the understandings of the current universe.

At the end of the video, the player observed a large item of interest that I anticipate is likely a teleportation or communication beacon used by the Thargoids."

Not sure they are MA pods. From what I can see on the pax teaser the lines on it could look like this, on a top view : http://imgur.com/oU6YNJB

Seems to be more rounded and have only one back line on the top.

from the right angle. i'll look at a MA tomorrow and check.. MA pods have main 4 sides, split down the middle, making 8 .
without the glow i think may look similar, but will try that tomorrow.

A room full of eggs. and that description did fit exactly how the Unknown trailer looked. Transmitter too, never saw that, sounds like what they saw at E3 was a longer version or unedited version perhaps..

When things start happening or unlocking , there will be Interesting Times, but that is still coming soon, a long time since 2.3 went live with that trailer and still waiting for sooner.

Yes I'm also curious to see the MA Pods on same angle looks similar.

Here is a closer shot : http://imgur.com/vTSzq2r

The side looks flat with no lines but it could be due to the bad resolution.
I may be able to obtain better rimage using another screen tomorow...
This was was on laptop 720p.

Found an unregistered comms beacon in Ross 374 at planet 3A. On the half hour mark it transmits: COVERUP OVERLOOK SECRET MUST BE SHARED PLEIADES SECTOR OI T C3 7 ORCUS CRAG.

Has anyone found this beacon yet? I figured its probably the original clue to point us towards the thargoid barnacles, but someone found them without it.

That sounds a lot like the beacon Ed found in the first E3 livestream which led to the short community goal at Orcus Crag.

Perhaps they already made a vaccine and gave it to the goids and that's why they are flying again?

Did you know that Mycoid was originally designed as a waste management product? It's speciality was to break metallic compounds and alloys down to their pure elements.

Barnacles seem to do similar stuff. Thargoids may have found something usefull to do with the pest we gave them. ;)

00000h...is that why "biowaste" is worth soooooo much??

Well, I've finally just found the time to sit down and watch the 2.4 trailer through in peace and I have concluded my hypothesis that the flowerships might be friendly Oresrian is shot-DB clearly calls them Thargoid. Also the octagonal ship is clearly concept art and may or may not exist in-game. So now I don't know if Oresrians exist in the game at all; there was a comment ages ago that there were two factions of aliens, but that could have been based on the original Dark Wheel story taken out of context and may not be canon for E D as that was the only relevant comment I recollect.

he does finish by saying the Thargoids are the first alien species we've come across, which leaves the possibility of more to be encountered in the future; I've always expected several in a galaxy this big.

Greetings, I was doing some digging through the E3 Stream, in particular I was looking at the last few minutes of video and running Ultima Sound at the same time. I don't know if this is a fluke or relevant to the mysteries.

I am currently in LHS 1197. It has an Ammonia World and lots of fed convoys. It's a large system so it would be interesting if someone could help me rule this out. Thanks :)

I realize that this will set a dozen canon-fans firing, but…

I don't think Oresrians or Klaxians will exist in the game, I think that they're just an interesting detail mentioned in books, and re-mentioned by other authors, and that's where they'll stay.

That's fairly clear. It doesn't sound like 'It's in, but behind an unobtainable permit wall', type of answer.

It's not even a little bit clear. It could easily mean stuff to be turned on before 2.4 but not turned on yet.

I spent ages looking for a thargoid and then one day they turned on Hyperdictions and lots of people encountered them (including eventually me).

--------------------------------------

Now I've got that out of my system, there's no way we're finding a new type of planetary site that's only in one or two spots unless lots of people are looking and the search area is narrowed down.

If someone would just strongly hint that there's something to be found planetside that's outside the permit locked system then we'd all go looking.

If we all went looking, I'd start in Merope because that was locked in beta and as far as I know, nothing has been found there since 2.3 went live (we got wreckage sites in space for Maia, and HIP 22460 is still locked).

A crashed Anaconda is visible as a couple of pixels from 50ks up. A settlement even further. The sucker in the 2.3 teaser video looks settlement sized, so you're going to be able to spot it from much higher up than a barnacle site (4.5kms up).

We know barnacles are pretty much always found in valleys, and there's a mountain range in the 2.3 teaser, so maybe these sites are placed near mountains.

Has anyone checked the mountain ranges in Merope for anything interesting since 2.3 launched? It's still too big a job for one person sadly.

Let's also add to the fact the thing was foggy as hell. So youd see it from space.
