What time will you be on when it launches?

obligatory day 1 patch might not need to happen, because there have been hints that digital download is completely up to date with 2.3.10. but please don't quote me on this, because i always get it wrong and get in trouble

I hope that's the case although we should be expecting some downtime at some point as fdev will need to update the server for xbox and PC as well as ps4.

Hopefully they'll give us an expected timeframe on Thursday :)

well everything being ok, and no major problems i will try and snatch an hour or 2 at midnight then get some sleep before waking up and then all being well will be playing til 2 in the morning 28th

Launch Day is a work day for me, so I'll be behind everyone who gets to start immediately . . . I'll be hoping to see a couple of streams from people here to satiate my need to know until I can get home and go through the register/login/pre-flight checklist/boost into station wall/remember to change control scheme in options/fly off into the black sequence :)

anytime from the 24th to the 27th.
(I ordered it from simplygames and they tend to send me games 2-3 days before their release date)

There should be a trophy for that :)

*grins* I have been very lucky so far. The few times I've managed to hit the station walls I've been travelling slow enough to bounce rather than get transported to the re-buy screen . . . I fully expect that to change one day :)

I'll be on as soon as its available - UK based

I'll look into streaming it, not actually done that before.

As i've played the game a lot on Xbox, I'll be straight into the game and doing some trading and bounty hunting, so should be a productive evening, plus i'm off that week so plenty of time

Looking at my system timer it drops at midnight BST (Monday night/Tuesday morning) SO I will be on until the early hours. Fancy winging up or at least forming a PS Party to chat?

I would be grateful of any and all advice. Even though I have a few hours on PC it was an age ago :/

Screw that, don't want to embarrass myself with all my crashes, killed by feds, failed docking etc. :)

please don't take this the wrong way but what will be worse cause of death in the first day, my little top 5 list so far is
1) killed by mail slot leaving/landing on station for first time
2) killed by cops for using weapons in a no fire zone
3) just crashing in general
4) killed with a smile by stormyuk and/or old duck, the Sith squad ;)
5) killed NPC sidewinder after first jump to new system
any other please feel free to add your own

All part of the fun! It's a bit of a dual edged sword I think. Will people tuning in see people struggling and think it's too hard? Or will they see everyone slowly picking it up and thinking, hey, I could do that. Who knows. Maybe #dayone will be the only time that there are so many people in the same place. Either way, I'm not proud. Anyone is welcome to come and watch my stumbling first steps =]

Nah I am a good guy, I wont be killing players at all at the beginning, doubt I ever will but can't promise.

I got fined on my first day (on PC a few weeks back) for going into a station before requesting permission, got a murder death kill bounty for shooting NPC before scan was done, so feds killed him and then I was murderhobo in that system for a week, stuck on the mail slot grills, crashed into station walls. I didn't die to station crash. I died to the feds for (murderhobo thing, see above) and NPCs when I attacked a big ship in my tiny winder.

So yeh, its going to happen.

I don't have the bandwidth to stream, so I might try to find you during your stream and say "Hi!" Don't worry, it will be a friendly greeting. Your stream will be like a mirror so I can admire my lovely Sidewinder and Holome :)

This assumes you are streaming via YouTube. I don't always have the best of luck with Twitch.

ps - I use QoS, so I'm hoping I can receive a stream on my iPad and play at the same time, though the stream will likely be low-res to reserve bandwidth for PS4.
