Exploration how will it be

Knowing that elite dangerous will come to ps4 I looked a bit around on the internet and on this site .
One part of this kind of game is what the exploration part would bring .
So my question is will there be a diversity in exploration like special artefact that you can collect sell or use , crashed ship you can recover and selling to base station , are there planets with live on or special plants to be used or to be sold .
Or will it be like in No Mans lie where there is nothing to be found or do .

not sure bro, iv never played the game myself, I have only seen you tube and screenshots, well, for the LAST 2 YEARS!!!!! I know there is plenty of plant stations with missions and an economy, don't think you can live there?

I don't think it will be like NMS bad, there is way more to do, but, still, deep space is vast and mostly unexplored so these areas will be data and visuals only with the odd discovery here and there(I think)

as iv never played it I don't know how varied it is, but from what I have seen way better than nms

well i definitly know there are planetary missions, POI (points of interest), crashed Thargoid ships, settlements and bases. there are also caves systems waiting to be found some where in the galaxy. so definitely more interesting than NMS, but as most people have said ED is basically a game where you make your own adventures, so take you time and enjoy. its not the destination that is important but the journey

Yes the destination is not imported to me nether I love the journey thats why I'm so interested in the exploration part of the game .

...like special artefact that you can collect sell or use ,

Yes, at the alien ruins sites.

crashed ship you can recover and selling to base station ,

Yes and no - crashed ships yes, but you can only recover their cargo and crew, not the ships themselves.

I don't know whether to call things that seem to live in a total vacuum "plants", but yes, they exist.

The problem is, though - the Galaxy is big. Really big. Even a single planet is big. Finding anything on an arbitrary planet involves a lot of luck, some experience, a lot of research and an eye where to look.

Or alternatively a visit to the Exploration subforum and/or the research threads (Canonn and Formidine Rift, for example).

There are indications (i.e. trailer videos) of other things that are out there, like Thargoid caves, but nobody has found them yet.

Yes the best way is to find it out for myself I know but I'm tired of spending my money on company's who uses the console to grab the quick money and leave us behind as fast as possible , it is not for the 49 Euro's that I will have to drink water and bread but man I do prefer to give my money to game companies who have at least a bit of passion in there development of a game .
Don't forget this will be a a port game from PC and in the not so long past , No Man Sky the ultimate lie with a great hype train , Project Cars 1 the super big bug race game (at least on PS4) and Assetto Corsa ( good base race game but it wouldn't be downgraded to the PC pfffff..... oooo yes right a bit of a lie to on PS4) where all port game from PC with a bad taste of salt in the mouth in one way or another at least on PS4 .
Any way still 7 day's to convince my self .

There is lots to find - that has already been found. FDEV also say there is lots still to find - no-one has found. 2.4 The Return also brings planets with cave systems and apparently huge alien structures...probably in Merope somewhere.

BUT - largely once you get far enough outside the bubble it can become a bit tedious - rocky world, rocky world, rocky world, ohhh ELW, rocky world....and so on. its something you either like or not...some ppl spend months out there...going mad...talking to themselves...drinking their own..well you know.

If one really wants adventure, turn off the HUD, or wait for the Braile edition.

Exploration mostly consist of using the scanner on your ship to collect data on systems and planets you earn credits by turning this data in at stations.
