Sounds like there will be a few glasses raised to Frontier at Lavecon this weekend. I wonder if there will be any unhappy commanders there and what if anything they will say.

Don't worry, this will hit them in the wallets for sure. They don't do anything about combat loggers. They don't do anything about people who used cheats in open play PvP (I still see people in open I know 100% used to use shield hacks) but people use an exploit to lessen the garbage engineer grind and they finally decide this is the time to take a stand?

Just about everyone I have talked to is walking away from the game now. This will hurt everyone, including the non-PvP crowd.

Enjoy the emptiness of open play because a large portion of the players who frequent open are quitting.

As many know other game companies will very often give much stronger punitive punishment for exploiting/cheating call it what you will.

I'd say Frontier have been very lenient with the action taken and those who did exploit should be thankful they are still able to play the game.

Indeed. Had it been me I'd have left them with their credit balances* and a Sidey, nothing more. They can rebuy their nice, blank ships and get the Engineered updates the way the game intends them to.

First offence...a month in the sin bin...second offence, complete loss of everything ever achieved ingame, bit like wiping a save although yer still not perma banned...thats a third strike offence not second although it depended on the severity. Get caught using modded servers and its an instant ban of both yer game account and possibly yer microsoft account as well ^

I think you're missing the point. If they're going to either take everything for cheating or target the affected modules, they screwed up royally with this weird "got some but not others, and some weren't even the right targets" deal going on.

Again: THEY MISSED ACTUAL EXPLOITED MODULES.

It was meant as a joke...Im actually very happy right now with this response because FD proved me wrong by taking action...I was beginning to suspect they wouldnt. I enjoy being proved wrong oddly enough...means this old dog can still be taught a few new tricks perhaps.

Anyway man, enjoy the weekend...I will and while I dont drink, Ill raise my cuppa tea to them anyway ^
