Predicted as i assumed a encounter would happen , just like IX system a few days ago, was confirmed before i could post suspicions.
This system i kept quiet since its find 12 hours prior. To get confirmation myself with Cmdr Iureka. That was achieved shortly after i posted and added the locations in this system.and that encounter happened without outside help.
Since it seems now two other encounters have happened for other Cmdrs. Gratz and O7 if was first time to see that. I saw one had been at the other sites for a few days without luck.
Listen to the barnacles. Every little bit of data and info,EVERY bit of data. Barnacles told me. Can't say more, that Shadow Organisation who controls the Feds and Empire maybe listening. Listen to Barnacles

Barnacle News - Quick update.


New Barnacle system located in Pleiades. 9th system now in Pleiades with Barnacles.
More interestingly , this also appears to be All cycle ripe too, and presumably Thargoid Event active.

Not proven, yet... Nobody has visited this systems barnacle yet. Only announcing and posting locations now.

If you are in need of MA, can i ask you to harvest from this systems barnacles. Report any Thargoid encounters, with evidence please.

5609419[/URL]]Alright guys, here's the answer to the Barnacle encounter. I have confirmed it several dozen times and helped out some open world players as well.

Steps:
1) Dismiss ship near Barnacle
2) Locate settlement zone boundary by looking at lower menu recall button.
3) move into settlement zone into Barnacle spires

To retry just move out and back into the settlement zone

There is a 30 second window and from my 16 confirmations an approximate 10% spawn rate for each entry into the settlement zone. I have yet to determine if being in the Barnacle boundary spires is a secondary trigger but, haven't confirmed in solo.

Works on both broken and fresh Barnacles, Open, Private, and Solo.

Please do not disturb the Thargoids

Bit of a cross-post, but DNA-Decay makes a good point that UA interference at stations is at a big low: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/358939-All-Quiet-on-the-UA-front

I wonder what impact this will have on our preparedness (or lack thereof!) when the Thargoids arrive?

Can you imagine if the plot-twist is that UA interference, while disabling stations electrics, actually protects them from Thargoids, much like Walking Dead/being covered in zombie guts?

Perhaps, but I think FD have lost track a little. I've been ranking up in Ceos & Sothis for the last few days & the stations in both are definitely suffering from UAs, when you dock the UC in Ceos is "closed due to UA interference", but I don't think either were shown on the list of affected stations for this week or last.

this one's at -7.11, -45.74 (new one? where do we report findings these days?)

Incidentally, me and another commander were at the -13.1651, -54.358 one earlier and got a wee visit from the alien few minutes ago. (as always, makes it's entrance when my back is turned)

Canonn won't be in a war with anyone..... Canonn are untouchable.

Feds will be brunt of warringness !! Feds Fluc yeah !!!

Imps will about while trying to mate with a Thargoid so it becomes official.

Alliance will use space botany and drug the Thargoids, maybe hang out a bit, work on some new jams.

Independent factions will be really confused and just panic.

Canonn in the meantime will just monitor the situation and the Thargoids will for the most part let you...... Just don't cross that line !!!

Early on, when we started with Galnet 'coverage' etc, a bunch of people assumed the Canonn was an FD mole, or even that it was just another NPC faction!

I can only assume that as more people get involved, either as 'members' or collaborators here, on Discord, Inara etc, that the number of people who still think it's not player-led continues to grow.

That's all cool and inevitable - but with it are also people espousing crazy conspiracy theories about us (including me at various times), of varying degrees of nuttiness.

Not really a problem as such, but when everyone involved goes so far out of their way to be open, it is a bit annoying (for me at least).

Random thought: Barnacles are for Terraforming.

This is my recent theory as well. Not only are they mineral extractors or refineries, but also Thatgoid atmospheric processors. I believe they can be activated remotely to prepare certain areas for their arrival. As seen in the unknown trailer, there appears to be an overgrown Barnacle in the distance. My theory is that as the Barnacle processes the atmosphere for terraforming, it grows larger and larger (due to its biological composition)

So who wants to help m with any high res images of both the activ thargoid vessels and the crash site ones?? I am currently in the proccess of lookin over certain images.

It also seems my theory on these being a differen hive of thargoids than the crashed Vessels might b correct however i need more clear images to know for sure before i post my findings.

However remember check the thorax markings and the legs "Some are large, blue-green to grey in colour.., Others are black, have fewer leg joints" I ok out the size referece in regards to humans due to 1. we dont know if they were looking at them or them sitting in their ships in the older elites and 2 because from what iv seen so far the crashed ship and the active have alot of differences both in color (which could be corrosion from being there years i know) but most importently markings!
