? Live stream showing PS4 PRO footage?

yeah bro, I pre-ordered on the mystic meg basis is that I knew a live stream was coming? mate I pre-ordered this game the very first minute it was available to pre-order. MY POINT is it was billed as a PS4 live stream, I have been looking forward to get to see WHAT I am buying.............to then be disappointed with a PS4PRO STREAM?
You think I pre-ordered on the basis of watching one video? You think I know nothing about elite? nor that I played any of the old games?

Cor blimey, I mentioned yesterday on a thread that the griefers will show up, same as on the NMS, sure enough...
I think people need to relax a bit - this is a top company and it will run fine on the PS4 .... but as ever, we are going to want to move to pro in time, because, all games now onward will be optimised for it. That my friends is life as we know it. Progress. It sucks when you are strapped for cash.
As for FD using a pro ... well lets face it, they want to show it off in its best light. I'm sure if they did a PC review it would feature an i7 with 64 Gig of ram an the best graphics card on the market. Not a 4 year old i5. So, relax

We saw some awesome footage today, the game is running amazing on the PS4pro, AND on the PS4. This is great news! No need to get frustrated.

cheers for calling me a griefer buddy, I have been nothing but positive on these forums over the last few weeks , I have praised FD many times for bringing it to the PS4 on this forum, even when people were screaming blue murder on other threads about "lack of info" I was being positive. but now I'm being told to calm down, I'm griefing forum troll all because I was expecting to see something that was not.
I expect the PC side to always show the high end but not on a console, pc users are constantly upgrading, console users.....................well
As a pro owner being able to switch between performance and better resolution is exactly what I want in all the games. So glad they put that feature in. Thanks FDev.
They said that the PS4 PRO version with "quality" setting performs better than PS4 standard framerate wise. I can understand they want to show us the best version possible, but basically all the users wanted to see how the game perform on a PS4 standard. Actually we haven't a single gameplay video for the vanilla version, which is really strange for a game which will be on the market in a few days. They also said the PS4 standard version will be like the Xbox One in terms of performance, but what if - for example - the access to the galaxy map will be murch slower ? It can't perform exactly the same, of course. There will be some difference here and there.

Those who own a PS4 and are salty that there are those with a slightly more powerful PS4 who were able to see the game running on 'their' console... or
Those who own a PS4 pro or who are thinking they might buy a pro and wanted to see what features are available but only see base PS4 graphics....
You have to really ask yourself, if the decision on whether you pre-order the game is down to the quality and content of tonight's livestream - are you the right sort of player to play Elite?
The game isnt designed as a visual spectacle firstly and foremost, that is a happy coincidence.

I guess it will be known next week but I can't imagine its going to be terrible on PS4, why would FDev do that, it makes no sense. Its nice they are using the enhanced PS4 Pro power.
Technically (please don't get mad, Dusty) the PS4 is marginally better hardware than the XBox, so everything else being equal, the PS4 should perform better, not worse than the XBox. Like I said in another post, this is ED PS4 version 1.0 coming out the door, so if there is some performance issue, it's a glitch that FDev can fix with a patch. There is zero reason for PS4 ED to be any less responsive or graphically stimulating than the XBox version.

It won't be terrible, just look at the Xbox version, that's what standard ps4 will look like, and that ain't bad.
After 2.3 XBox performance in all transition situations, including opening galaxy map became very good. It used to be a problem, to a degree that I was avoiding opening the map if I can, but it is not anymore. Same should be true for PS. So it is quite possible that transitions won't be instant but will take 2 or 3 seconds, but it is not gameplay factor anymore.

Just remember, Xbox One has a slightly better CPU than PS4 standard. But my point was different. We don't have a single good video gameplay for PS4 standard, which is really strange. So obviously users can be a little bit suspicious about that. I'm not salty at all, just trying to make my point.
