Just dropped by to give a BIG THUMBS UP [up] to FDEV and well done. Peronally I think the cheaters got off lightly, should of had all engineers modules removed and all engineer grade reset to 0, let them grind it out again.

Worth remembering that it won't just be the fsd. To maximise my conda''s range I've also hit lightweight mods everywhere I could. Their jump range will likely be down to mid 20s now. Not to mention no power.... I'm using a naturally under powered but very luckily modded power plant.
If this hypothetical person decides to do a documented log of their long return trip it would make for an awesome story... especially if they get back during the next phase of alien interactions.

What FD should have done was say nothing, just nurf the offenders stats so they look the same but the actual figures are minus the exploit gain, that way shields and weapons are worse than stock. Then make it so they only get better with legit engineer rolls.

I think that these PvP groups that have used cheats should en masse be wiped to starter sidewinders.
The very idea that groups of people are sharing cheats and using that to provide their LULZ should bring a very VERY big whack on their antics.
Why so I say this?

This thread has been very entertaining. I'm loving it.
FD have taken appropriate action, but there are lots of wishful thinking posts wanting more. Pretty funny stuff, but FD have already done what they're going to do.
The rage quitters are already talking about returning. Shame, that. But at least one has uninstalled. So one cheating griefer gone. All in all, a good outcome.

FD Handled it pretty well, as someone said in this forum "Players use exploits because they think they can get away with it" And this clearly shows them that they can't get away with it And in fact they'll have a big punishment (In this case deleting other modifications)so it's all good there.
