The problem with the new C&P improvements

No it should not. It's completly idiotic.

Consensual duels as you desbride them have no legality in policed systems in the ED universe, if you want to engage in that you need to be certain the other side is going to play fair (it's an issue of trust between participants, nothing Frontier should do about), or head to a system where the authorities don't care.

Far as I'm concern, those that bait me into a fight and switch crimes on, I'm going to murder them into a Sidewinder or Solo play.
You want to be a troll, So can I

It is a big problem. If you increase the punishment for a crime, you must also make the crime detection better to avoid unfair punishment and trolling.

IMO the punishment was not enough of a deterrent before. It's still only money, just more of it & hopefully will mean players think consider the consequences of engaging more than they did before.

An alternative is report crimes is on all the time - and cannot be turned off, so all PvP that is consensual has to be in Anarchy systems.

Job done!

As said, that's not how PVP works. Most PVP happens by going to a CG because it's a big populated mark on the map, and looking for other PVPers. The trolls exploit this by making people "WANTED" even though they actually didn't do anything and are just looking to fight other people.

As said, depends on your point of view. If you do legit PVP, this change increases the power of trolling, so it's a downgrade.

Well then, legit PvPer, how about we settle for it being absolutely better than it was for 90% of the player base.

I think 10% PvP is generous but hey...

Adapt or quit?

Legit PvP is a pure construct of your mind, you're free to engage in it but nobody else is forced to play fair. The store page says "trade, pirate, explore, kill criminals or just hunt other commanders", it doesn't then add "or take part in strictly codified so-called legitimate pvp"

Completly pointless argument. All I ask is a single UI line that tells me their crimes status. It's going to make PVP better for me but leaves you PVEers untouched.

Are opinions of Hutton Truckers irrevelant too, just because there are very few of them?
Are requests of canyon racers irrevelant because there's just a few of them?
Are miners now irrevelant, just because there aren't many of them?

We paid for this game just like you, and the game has PVP advertised as one of major parts and selling points.
