People have fun in Solo/PG. Why does that offend you so much? Do you get triggered when you see someone on your Xbox friends list playing Skyrim?

See, I don't CARE when people play solo, I care when they come into open flying shield less trade ships or woefully under equipped ships into combat CGS and complain THE GAME IS TO HARD.
They spent their time playing easy mode and you want to jump into the ring with the lions and tigers?!

We're talking about legit PVP here. Gankers who just try to gank inferior ships will not attack legit PVPers and I'm all fine with PVEers having crimes on.


One of the reasons why I want to see if the target has crimes ON or OFF is also to tell if they want to fight. If that FDL has crimes ON, I won't bother attacking him cause it's either a PVEer not interested in a fight, or it's a troll.

Just do it in an Anarchy, problem solved.

Solo and PG are EASY MODE

Fully G5 ships are easy mode. Sub-optimal is cool.

You want consequence free fair pvp go to a anarchy, otherwise all tricks, traps and underhand methods to sucker you are legit, its a harsh open world.

Gankers already only fly their best ships lol. If you didn't, you're likely an anomaly, not the standard.

I'm not entirely a ganker, I look for targets on a level playing field with me, But I also enjoy a challenge so I'll fly under equipped ships. But if I recently murdered a genuine griefer and ended up a bounty in my Conda, flying my meme ships for fun isn't really an option now is it?
Fly my 3.5 million Dropship, pay 35 million instead,

I don't see a reason why anyone would need to change crime reporting mid-fight. If you're not looking for a fight, you just keep it ON and don't care :S

I don't object to you getting a line displaying the opponents Report Crimes status, but I'm not sure why I should give up the option to turn it on when I want to.

I think most players feel like the PvP voices already have had more than enough concessions and attention from FD.

While I mostly share your opinion, stick to the thread. This is not a open VS solo debate.

Why can't you just start ignore people who say that?

If you succeed in "scaring" them back to Solo, then great.

But why care? What I'm saying is, there's no need to get this upset.

Well then, legit PvPer, how about we settle for it being absolutely better than it was for 90% of the player base.

I think 10% PvP is generous but hey...

It is only if PvEers finally take steps to protect themselves, maybe. As I've pointed out numerous times, I have ships with rebuys under 1M that could shred many underprotected PvE ships.
 
I hate to say it but what a crymunity a section of our pvp player base has turned out to be , suck it up dude's it's 'emergent' gameplay.

Yeah? Like premium glitch and heat being broken for MONTHS? Or engineers completly breaking our balance and forcing us to do INSANE amount of PVE to be able to do PVP? Combat logging being completly ignored?

Nobody is listening to PVPers at all. Instead, devs are trying to change PVP without taking any feedback from us at all.

Aye this thread started out kinda constructive.

Oh well.

It did. To get my own comments back on track, I hope that along with C&P, FD will work on some ways to encourage legitimate, compelling PvP.
 
Yeah, new C&P improvements, all nice.

But this is all extremly easy to abuse against other players. Dishonorable PVPers who will interdict you asking for a duel, but turn crimes ON when they start losing, or people who lure you into shooting first. You will become wanted and all of these C&P improvements will punish YOU even though you're not the one who started a fight. We've also seen fights where the enemy wing had crimes OFF but they had a healer with them who had crimes ON. Shooting the healer made you wanted, even though they started the fight and all of them were wanted except the healer.


There has to be a clear way of telling who has crimes ON and who has them OFF. This way we can also tell who's looking for a fight and thus not waste time on PVEers. The option should be locked during fights to prevent switching and luring too.[alien]

How about a different radar icon depending on whether it's on or off? Hollow circle when it's turned on for example?

Anyway,
points so far,
-With people being able to turn crimes off and on at will, the system already is a failure as it give trolls new toys.
-Will ensure people only fly the meta ships to skill you, in the end its going to hurt more than it helps
-PvP is not planned, it isn't organised. Its often a quick and dirty knife fight. Why? Well. Its alot more fun, for the attacker and defender alike.
-We need a system to ensure we can see who is willing to PvP
-Pretty much killed player bounty hunting IMO, Serious PvP players will be cautious to avoid getting the global bounty, Seasoned gankers are impossible to kill regardless, so they will not be affected.
