Colonia: are we witnessing the birth of the 4th super power ?

In light of the the article currently on galnet about the large influx of migrants coming to colonia because of the cold war between the empire and the federation, would it be far fetched to imagine that it will become a new super power ?

I doubt it according to the article Most of the new population is leaving to avoid the super powers

The English equivalent of the Spanish/Italian latin word Colonia is Cologne. You all know what happened to Cologne in the second world war...

Just throwing that out there.

Whatever happens in Colonia, I expect a big upheaval when the Thargoids arrive. We might see the Empire and the Federation swept away, or altered drastically. There are have been little hints in the recent Galnet articles.

Current super powers are, in order of power:

Federation
Empire
Pilot's Federation
Alliance

Although the first three are so close in power, it's kind of hard to rank them.

Does Colonia have it's on economy system, independant of the bubble? If so, I might head that way. I found a 32m Cr passenger who needs a ride and if I can make a living out there for a while, I could just pack up and head out.

I disagree.

Collectively, the Pilot's Federation can make all the major factions in the game dance to our tune. We can kill their citizens with impunity, overthrow their governors, and create famine and plague for fun and profit. They actively court us to ally with them against their enemies, despite our long history of treachery and betrayal. We essentially have free run of every station in the Galaxy, out of fear of our response. Everyone feels it's safe enough to put up ads for assassins, smugglers, and saboteurs on our bulletin boards, convinced that both the mighty Federation and noble Empire are helpless to stop us.

Individually, we can change the fortunes of any world we visit. Together, we are a force of nature.

We are legion.

We are the largest legal criminal organization in Human space.

We are the Pilot's Federation.

Fear us.
