I think these three binary numbers (--| -|- --| ; 1 2 3) are the same like in the spectrogram of the UP, what if the galaxy like structure from the machine in the alien settlement are the thargoid galaxy, the interdict you only when your are jumping in subspace, maybe they are from an other galaxy or dimension.

Looking at the two system maps on the image, it looks like the left one (Merope?) has a line between the sun and the first body does that represent the asteroid belt in Merope?
If so, could it be the system on the right of the image is one that doesn't have a belt in the system map as that part of the image has no corresponding line?

They coppied the hand drawing wrong. Check out the spectragram on the front page. It shows all 3 of them around Merope 3
It looks right to me.
The scientific test would be to try the different combinations and see if the result changes
Maybe they find a way to reach us again, maybe they sent probes to create some kind of portal from their universe to our.
So the spectogram can be the instruction of how they create this portal. The top and bottom sphere is maybe not a planet, but a universe: the top sphere is the thargoid universe and the bottom sphere is the human universe.
And the star map in the alien structure is a representation of the Thargoid galaxy. Pretty fun if we can get there by using their own portal. It's a nice spiral, can be fun to try to reach the center without being killed.

I'm not sure if anyone has already picked up on this but I am almost certain that the scavengers are of thargoid design. I've sat watching them for a good long while and their cosmetics are very similar to the flower ships.
Every so often they can be observed to stop and open their 'mouthes' to reveal a grinding mechanism of some sort and at the same time a green liquidy material can be seen falling from their underside... are they possibly feeding ? Or more simply as the name implies gathering materials and ridding of the refuse ?
They have also been gathering around an area of one of the structure walls outside and focusing on an area of the wall which has the same green burn damage marks as on human ships which have been attacked.
Excited to see what happens next whatever this site is

I think we need to spectro the UL responses and see if anything is there. I'm at work or I'd do it.
Hello all!
After following the discussion slightly for the past hours (I was getting the UA and UP and travelling) I arrived at the active base.
I come here to report that after I activated the base and went outside again a Thargoid vessel appeared, and it continued to scan me, as in a hyperdiction. Low to the ground, I was still in the SRV. Couldn't find any mention of this, have others have the same thing happen?
This was the first time I participated in events like these, haven't been hyperdicted before, haven't been at the barnacles either. I wasn't able to capture any images
