Known Merits
Aisling was number 1 again in total merits, Hudson second, and Grom moved way up (due to his expansion) and did slightly more merits than ALD.
Winters was 5th, and the other 6 powers did far fewer merits than the "big five"
On the effective chart Aisling was first, followed by Hudson then ALD. Torval did a large amount of effective fortification in 4th position, and Grom slipped down a long way from his total merits, since most of his expansion merits were waste due to there being no opposition.
Unknown Merits
Winters had the most total opposition, followed by Torval, who was in turmoil and received the most undermining last week.
Hudson was 3rd, followed by ALD, who both had a lot of opposition in their expansions.
Delaine and Mahon were the only other powers to receive any real opposition.
On the effective chart, Torval was clearly in the first position, with 250k in undermining. That was all the effective undermining on all the powers, the rest of the effective merits were in opposition to the Winters, Hudson, ALD, Antal and Aisling expansions.
Patreus and Sirius had 0 systems undermined.
Merit Total
Total merits for last cycle were back over 5 million. (5.2 million for cycle 107, 4.2 million for cycle 106, 5 million for cycle 105)
The main weekly merit fluctuation at the moment seem to be driven by expansions from Delaine and Grom.
If Delaine has expansions the total number of merits goes up (mainly in opposition)
If Grom has expansions the total number of merits goes up (all in the expansion)
But when neither of them have expansions these merits vanish and go nowhere.
