Could be that only one of the messages is "real" and the other two are dupes. I'll test it myself here shortly.

I'm gunna try something silly and move as close to Col 70 as I can before hitting the permit wall and testing again! Shouldn't take too long!

I'm leaning towards this. I wonder what |-- is then... UT? Or possibly relating to an Ancient Artifact of some kind.

Still can't quite relate the UP spectro to this new one.. the sphere grid shape is different and the lines overlaid don't look quite the same either.

It looks more like "--|" is 1, "-|-" is 2, and "-||" is 3. (this is binary).
And the spectrogram seems to associate the UA, UL, and UP, respectively. I would bet that means the three "chunks" of binary data coming from the UL narrow transmission are related to them in that way, so the first chunk is data related to the UA, etc.

This might make my previous point more clear. And yes, I am still going on about things presented as facts when they might not be. This is a classic example. The UP image is banged around a lot, and it is wrong. Below is the original compared to the incorrectly redrawn one that is often used. The lines don't match. It may mean nothing, then again it might mean something.

Remember the listening post that started all this, where the technician said there was an alien signal being picked up?

Anyone else reckon the spectrograph from there shows a similar pattern to the UL, tho i don't know how to interpret it if so. Not sure if this has already been solved or not.

Don't know tbh not examined the much that way. I posted some flacs earlier on in the thread they may be better quality. Honestly I did not rip these with software designed to pull audio so they may not be the best noise wise :/

What ship are you flying?

I'm now in Merope 8k Ls away from anything and I only get chittering on the 3rd message! Heading to 5C now.

After watching again the reaction of the alien base to the guardian's tech I need to agree with a comment made by another commander: This looks like a panic reaction, trying to destroy the "enemy" (and everything nearby it) is a very violent and irrational manner.

I believe this reinforces the hypothesis that the Thargoids are actually the evolution of the Guardian's AI.

I think your right. I think the AI became aware, and turned against them. If you remember the guardians developed tech to fight wars rather then fight themselves. Are the thargoids a modified self developed AI which originated from the guardians. Was this what attacked and finally destroyed them.

The different ship shapes at the thargoid bases, may be guardian ships from way back.

We may find surviving guardians at some point to guard us.. hence the name.

Sorry if this was brought up before, the forum is moving so fast if you don't pay attention to it all the time.

The reaction of the map room if you use an ancient artifact looks like as if the light coming from the middle of the room is flashing a morse code. Has anyone checked if the strange flashing pattern makes any sense in morse? I'm not sure why the Thargoids would even use morse code as that is human made but you never know.
