OK ALIEN BASE FOUND!!!

MEL 22 SECTOR ZU-P C5-1 4B

-63.5
8.02

I can say its an active one. The room where the device is, is surrounded with a couple of doors. But sadly i have to say it seems there is no new data here. His behavior is the same like the one in HIP 14909. Same results after scanning.

But this base is in a better shape as the other one in HIP 14909

Given that we have a precedent for active and inactive large wrecks; I'm hoping that this (or perhaps hopefully one in either of the other two) will also be active, and provide three more messages which can then be pinged back at the UL to get more numbers?

The messages tell the UL what the source system is for the 2nd measurement, thus allowing the process to be repeated. Let's hope there are indeed more, because this is very cool :)

Okay, the group of Stars that the UL was pointing at (best estimate) when deployed with the UA is as follows:

HIP 14956 - 84.5ly from Mel 22 sector NX-U D2-31
HIP 15284
- 92.4ly from Mel 22 sector NX-U D2-31
HIP 14758 -
108ly from Mel 22 sector NX-U D2-31
HR 935
- (looks like an Orange Giant); 155ly from Mel 22 sector NX-U D2-31

I'm going to check them out now while you guys have fun with the new active base ^^

Has anyone been hyperdicted while carrying a relic. Just wonder if the flower ships get as grumpy as the device did...

Can't test this out as I have never been hyperdicted. Ever.

WOW.

I hope one of these new Alien bases, found decoding the UL, have something new to say... I hope.

Maybe that is their sole purpose; finding other crash sites/new bases.

Hear me out, so the goids are ravaged by the mycoid virus/fungus. They crash on random planets as they retreat from our bio-weapon and over time evolve (because they are also bioweapons crafted by guardian genius) an immunity, but in doing so they change their look and their tech.

They slowly start to recycle the biomass of the old crashed ships into new bases and hatch probes and artifacts and ships to look for other stranded remnants.

The UA and UP search the area of the goid path of retreat which happened to be from our bubble through the PLeiades and out to COL for ammonia worlds likely to be safe havens (UP) and for ships (UA), even alien ships seems to just be scanning us....was there a rumour a while back that our ships has some kind of goid technology?

They use the telemetry pulled from all this to map their forces ( the chart in the chamber created by the unknown device) and re-organise.

If we found new a base using info from the UL which seems to be a combination of info from UA and UP (as per the unknown device in the chamber) that would kind of add a little weight to that possibility, right?

Very nice theory indeed.

The problem I have with that is that any insterstellar race like the Thargoids should be beyond the resource scarcity stage that would force them to salvage older ships.

Unless the ships are significantly biological in nature and are merely severely wounded (comatose) and they are, in effect, rescuing them.
