I agree with previous poster that it would be helpful to have a spreadsheet to track the audio sources, and resulting octal / coordinates.

On the mention of whether this is a "race" I think it's important to point out that without the excellent collaboration that has been occurring here, nobody would have ever found anything. The different skills and thought processes involved don't tend to exist in single human brains. It's awesome to see the community working together.

Careful now this isn't Elite '84 we can't go to Galaxy 8..... that said is it time maybe we start dusting off the inter-galaxy drive? Does that sort of thing even exist in ED?

Now... given what you just said you could interpret the top and bottom circles from meaning: Bottom circle = Milky Way... using Merope and other systems to amplify a carrier beam signal to another galaxy where our flower friends are waiting?

(Absent an actual revelation I'm still considering to mean surface of planets)

anyone tried the UL above Merope 5C yet?

I was literally about to then blew mine up by mistake, so I went for a walk because I was too irritated by this considering it's a game lol when I'm back i'll go get another and try unless someone beats me to it. Although I suspect we would need to have the right transmissions from the right base to have any success as we seem to be basically chasing through a thargoid network, where each new base talks to 3 others.

Interesting thought really; I'm sure FD only put a finite amount of bases in game, I wonder what we find when we get to the end of the network?

I'm guessing it's something that resembles chitinous death!

Wace's calculations look solid to me. The error margins are tiny using HIP 14909 with the Signals from that site.

We could have found the others first, but there were multiple Listening Posts pointing to Site #5, and none we have found so far pointing to sites #6-#8

Interesting that the closest 4 'Military' systems to Merope all got Listening Posts pointing to Wrecks - someone in the military is doing a Manning/Snowden job - expect defectors

Check the Large Wreck info link in my sig - lots of info about what's going on (and links to interesting posts where needed). I think we're still waiting to see if it points elsewhere, or just back to where we came from.

Looks like the wreck sites are the same coords as the bases? Is it that we're calling them wreck sites instead of bases as that seems the most likely explanation of what they are or is it that there are week sites near the bases?

Just call them Thargoid sites it's exactly what they are, a site of Thargoid origin. Active and Inactive.

Gotcha �� I will refer to them as wrecks now if that's a wreck, we need to be careful in how we handle them and anything else Thargoid related seeing as the devs said their interactions will be based on ours. If this is a ship, we got some issues if they're hostile to all of us. Makes me think, maybe it wasn't a flower ship that took out the federal fleet. Those things are smaller than a Conda never mind two battle cruisers and a ton of corvettes like the ones at the attack site. Maybe one of these bad boys took them out.

Point 3: You don't need to combine the UA and UP in order to get the UL, in fact you don't personally need either of them, but at least one person needs just a UA to open the doors to the site.

I'm at NX-U D2-27 .. at the site

I can;t find any UL's ... previously they just appeared dangling .. now just the dangly bits, but no UL

I have both UA and UP and tried both in the cargo and both set into the device.. nothing

Would a proper representative of Canonn care to propose a new CG.

Collect Meta-Alloys and deliver to the Megaship Gnosis which has been relocated to the Merope System.
Successful tier completion will enable the production and sale of larger Corrosion Resistant Cargo Holds.

CG submission requires 'official' quotes from Canonn reps so I can't just go ahead and submit it myself.
