Thargoids: The Correct Grammatical Shortening

So.....Thargs or Goids?

Humans and Humanoids are different so I'd argue that Thargs are not the same as Thargoids.

So I'd go with plain old 'bugs'.

There is only 1 true Tharg so it has to be something else, I`m all for calling them Prawns. Their ships look like a prawn ring gone wrong so....

Okay, being a bit retentive here, but that is my want.
Word shortenings happen I accept that, Influenza= flu, weblog = blog, rhinoceros = Rhino

So....Thargoids.....Having a CMDR name like Whiterose the natural shortening for a Yorkshireman would be Goids ( as in Thar Goids), but I have also seen Thargs.

So.....Thargs or Goids?

Thargs they are not.
They are Tharg-like, hence the 'oids'.
