I've read the threads relating to it, most of which are now long dead. I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about it considering what it's supposed to hold in view of recent events, and the fact that we know it's out there just waiting to be found. It was discovered way back in the day when a 5ly jump was a big deal, so this leads me to believe that even the elite core of pilots wouldn't have gone more than a few thousand light years beyond Sol to find it. Is there anyone still looking for it? Do we really know anything about it that may not have been part of the old discussions? Raxxla keeps coming back to my mind and I'm determined to find it. It holds alien tech and treasure and a path to distant places! With the Thargoid threat bearing down on us, what better hope do we have of having the upper hand than untold wealth and advanced tech like those spoken about on Raxxla? I want to dedicate time to look, but I don't even know which direction to start.

Afaik we don't know anything about Raxxla, besides passage from Dark Wheel and when Drew asked about it. FDev replied it's in the game and they know where. You can even get some missions from the Dark Wheel and their desription suggests it has something to do with Raxxla and it's coordinates, but: 1) Dark Wheel minor faction doesn't seem to be full representation as the classic lore Dark Wheel (eg. it's still only a minor faction with few special missions) 2) FDev said there will be no clues on Raxxla.
Formidine Rift mystery was not related to Raxxla specifically, confirmed by Drew if I recall correctly.

My guess is, during DDF when it was likely that the exploration worked differently (finding your own witch space lanes, getting to dark systems), after reaching Elite the missions from Dark Wheel would give you some coordinates to dark systems (Raxxla or other clues). It's clear that we most likely never will get this system (I can't see them changing the access to the galaxy so radically years into the game) the idea of Raxxla never got finished and it might exist either in FDev test area, some permit locked system or it is so unremarkable you will never notice it.
That said, it might be next branch of the story after Thargoids get dealt with.

The Dark Wheel missions don't exist anymore it seems, not since the "improved" mission system was added in v2.0.
I asked about them in a livestream at the time and they hadn't been converted to the new system.
v2.0 also contained a change so that "Elite or Founder" missions would only appear at Jameson Memorial and perhaps planet stations in Founders system, but no one has seen any of the half dozen or so special missions mentioned in the Raxxla thread since the change.
(A "Founder" being someone who is a "Founding Member of the Elite" Kickstarter pledge level backer at £150 and above)

A character in the book, Reclamation by Drew Wagar, commented that it was nearer to home than was obvious - or something to that affect. Perhaps we have been looking too far afield and need to have a rethink.

I'm currently on my way to the Formadine Rift to search for Raxxla. Plan to start my search to the east in the Outer Arm Vaccus.
Have no idea if this is the right area but the old missions seemed to hint in that direction so seems as good as any area to search.
David Braben has stated that it is in the game and Micheal Brookes said there will be no clues given. To me that suggests that it
is not in a locked system, it just needs to be found (It's a big galaxy)! Of course I may be wrong but I honestly think it can be found,
just nobody has found the correct system yet.

To find Raxxla, you need to be in the appropriate ship type.
