Elite Dangerous launched there game on the 27/06/2017 at midnight now 48 hours later and I'm for the first time in open play as a rookie .
My first goal was to go from A to B with a mission not worrying about exploration , mining , enc ...
Starting from Asellus Primus I flew to Arinna for delivering a packets of fine data .

FOR ALL THE ROOKIE'S OUT THERE ......

Yes I passed my planet:rolleyes:
Yes I landed on the wrong platform[where is it]
Yes I had my boost moment while landing [woah]
Yes I scratched my butterfly a bit because of that[blah]
and ....Yes I forgot to deploy my landing attribute [where is it]
But at the end I made it and I'm proud like a peacock so if you think you are the only one who's some difficulties well than ..nops me to .

We've all been there, Commander. The most poignant learning experience for me on PC was to change the binding to jettison all cargo. I had a full load on my Cobra, hit the key, and it all just went "pew" out of my hold. Oh boy, that was a real "stare at the screen with the blankest of blank expressions" moment for me.

Everyone has done this. Hell I did the boost while landing thing in my Cutter, and got it wedged into the back of the station and blown up. That was an eye-watering rebuy...

Hence I remapped boost to my A button (X for you) to avoid that ever happening again <--- top tip.

(In case you're wondering, I switched it round with the firegroup toggle button :D)

AHAHAH I totally HUG You man :)

And by the way, I had a totally horrible NOOB EXPERIENCE on PC with the infamous TAB BOOST (close to Q on the keyboard) since I was in a LAKON Type 6 FULLY SPECCED FOR CARGO with 2 MILIONS of materials (don't remember wich was, some mineral i think) and I BOOSTED my way to hell with a rebuy cost that was WAY MORE than what I had after that loss... I was with my Brother (in a Viper, escorting me) and suddently I was yelling like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! PLEASE NOOOOOOOO!" while the huge thing CRASHED in front of my Brother... the hilarious thing was that the ship was not fast forwarding it was like a slow paced thing... because it's a beast, and fully loaded is more than slow. I was depressed for the next two days... but now everytime I think at that I am like :D

Congrats! I've been studying what the ED pros have done and earned 700k CR in ~2 hours. I now have a new ship! Here you go.
1. Stay in Solo game play (Just to start to get your credits up!)
2. Don't invest any credits ($$) into the Sidewinder. (This ship is "rubbish"!)
3. Take your rubbish...er, I mean Sidewinder to ringed planets.
4. Once there, look for "High/Hazardous Extraction Sites" and fly in, but don't shoot.
5. Watch/follow the security teams for them to start attacking WANTED ships. Then you scan those ships to get the "Wanted" statement on your panel.
6. (Now you shoot) From a distance, shoot those ships occasionally until they explode. And you will get the bounty.
If you don't see any action, travel to another star system -- the action will be there waiting for you.
Oh, yeah... and don't get blown up before you cash in. Else you will lose those well-earned credits.

Now get out there and do damage! "Every dog's got its day, and every man his number!"

Typically, Haz Rez is devoid of security. Best stick to High Rez. Other than that, yes that strategy works brilliantly. With a good instance you'll be raking in millions per visit.

Hi commanders, today my first flight, earned 23.800 cr. in a RES. Landing at the space station takes a lot of practice, especially because I have some years of CoD and Battlefield in my muscle memory. I often tap the wrong buttons, but nevertheless I still didn't crash. I just take my time to land.;)
Tomorrow I hope to have a bit more time to visit the RES to earn some more cash. Love this game. My graphics work fine on the Pro, a little tearing but it's hardly noticeable.

Man you guys are quick, it took me a full week to only have the imaginary feeling I had things under control. Which remained imaginary until I somehow managed to scrape enough credit to afford a Viper mk III. Only after that I began learning how to fly a ship properly.

Great read, awesome seeing you guys going at it!

Same as me! brought it on PS4 yesterday and took my ages to work out what the hell I was doing. Took the 10,000 mission and took several attempts to exit hypercruise or whatever it's caused in the vicinity of the station. Then took ages to locate the letterbox. Then took ages to line up and "scrape" through the letterbox. Then, with growing astonishment, realised I have to land the bloody thing on a sixpence which I managed with only seconds to spare!

After quite awhile in the training mode, I've joined the solo mode. Spawn at a station located on a planet somewhere. Practiced some launchs, short flights and docking, all perfect but a wee bit on the slow side. I recon my hours as a real pilot helps in setting up the final approach and making sure the gear is down. I accepted the beginning mission and managed to get there unscaved and all in one piece, reveived my 10,000, went to the fridge and grabbed a beer to celebrate. I was wiggling like a puppy that needs to go potty.

Anybody here no how to tie the horizon package with a subaccount, my primary shows it but my sub only has the basic.

But you did it well done , now up to the next one and start all over again .
In the mean time I've got myself 2 fines and one bloody bounty with rice ganging over my head .
I will have to keep myself in low profile now .
Wait .... let me see ...ok I can go , see you guy's some where in pace or here on the forum .

I bought myself a docking computer, just to relax after all strain. After a few days of bounty hunting in the local RES I'll have my Viper mk3. [up]

PS: I have 187.400 cr now.
