I have finaly burnt out! After 12weeks and 6 hours i have reached a cliff i refuse to climb any longer!

I have spent the last 3 days flying round in circles in orbit round amonia worlds diping in and out tryong all kinds of distances looking for a UP. A total of 5 and a half hours!

And i have NOTHING to show for it but a deep and blistering river of rage and frustration courseing below my skin!

I will be happy if I never see another amonia world EVER again!

Good luck fellow cmdrs enjoy the thargoid mystery. I cant! So if any one want me i will be on you tube watching people with the kind of patients saints would be envious of!

I started on my way back to the bubble and i just cant bring my self to play the game at all now im just to frustrated with it. I just wanted to join in and now i feel totaly left out because RNGesus hates me.. like realy hates me!

Im shure i will be back in a week or so when i have vented some of this frustration and or some thing that doesn't involve UPs come up for me to do..

May the verse have mercy on your souls

I've avoided any frustration by not bothering to look for those things in the first place. There are plenty of Thargoids on the way, I'll hang back for now. I do sympathise though, this whole RNG (ie. dumb luck) barrier to entry seems pretty dumb to me.

Unknown Probe. They are needed to activate the new alien structures, but they only spawn in rare signal sources, and only around a few key ammonia worlds, and only within a certain orbital range of them. Super dependent on the RNG and a whole lot of luck (or a boatload of time) to get one.

Wait, you were looking around ammonia worlds, not ammonia gas giants with ammonia life ? just making sure, cause they are not the same !

Having a similar experience ... as were all the other CMDRs I bumped into flying around in SC.

Yet again, exciting content is gated behind the infamous, notorious and sadly ubiquitous RNG of Elite Dangerous.

Didn't Frontier learn their lesson with the Engineers?

It wouldnt be so bad if it was like engeneers cus you can usualy go alternative routs if one isnt working for you.

Its the mind numbing monotony of it that gets to me in the end and the ocasions where you finally get a uss to spawn and it got a data cache in. It like the game taunts you with them.

I hope one of the crash sites has UPs that come out of holes in a room instead of ULs. Then i could do some erands and get what i need to take part but im not sure i would bother now as im still quite deflated over the whole thing
