Are all the alien sites different?
I think the external layout differs on mostly all, the inside is pretty much the same though.

I dont know why i did not post this before. But remember when we found that beacon in maia? And it lead us to that outpost with the beacon? Well they said they were hearing a weird... "Organic" sound and it would not disapeer. well i went to the transmission tower of the outpost and got this. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzRSnoWGeARTRTJlaUVhUTczdGc
I'm at site #9, the one with the larger 'pods' around the central main area. Man, those things are big! I flew the Anaconda right into one, then landed outside and drove the SRV under one. Nothing to see from a science point of view, but wow, the FD art guys did a good one on this! It's a big scary cavern in here that somehow still feels claustrophobic!
Edit : And now I'm lost under this thing! Good play FD, good play![]()

I predict CMDR NanoExplorer will be back on the thread soon, I see what he's up to![]()
yeah I've just been bouncing between sites in VR and really enjoying the scale of these things. I've got nothing to contribute scientifically. I'm a professional looker.
OK well I'm done for the day, having accidentally boosted into my UL, destroying it. I will say that I haven't been able to figure out the middle audio clip from site 11 (Mel 22 sector UE-G B11-0). The audio clip is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jv4l32x9v7e2xt/UL audio site 11.aup?dl=0 and the data in question is the second set. I transcribed it as
hhl lhl / hhl lhh lhh
hll / hhl lhh lhh
hhl llh hll lll / hhl lll lhl hhh
Which gives:
.13 .03 .927
And triangulation suggests that the endpoint should be somewhere around coordinates:
-14.77, -240.17, -317
or
-19.8,-245.1,-324.9
but I didn't find anything.

Yeah, and I've always been a proponent of the UA's being a combination of human and alien tech (primarily the humans reverse-engineering alien tech version, the same as you).
Currently though I'm going from FD's statement that the UAs are Thargoid.
Agreed on the questions.
To be honest, I couldn't tell that you weren't a native speaker!![]()
Heads up, I'm going to do a video recording displaying all the sounds from all the sites found so far - a recap, basically - should be about 21 audio's in all.
Yeah, my trilateration was wrong. Now i'm getting HIP 16985 too.Sure about your trilateration solutions? This is what I'm getting...
Considering the fact that some ships are complete wrecks and others are not, I would assume kind of an unplanned landing. Yes, a crash indeed.
Btw I'm fairly convinced that the "Aliens"-style leathery "eggs" on top of the navigation room contain the actual Thargoids. Too bad we can't get one and bring it to Palin.
Yo,
[noob]
US7:Unsure if this data is out there , been busy matching the sites to messages.
Ah, but is that impact damage, or rot?
For a crash, after only half a century on airless rocks, I'd expect an open crater and some things broken apart around the collapsed sections. These things are neatly embedded in the dust. :7
