Picking on weaker opponents is pretty much THE most cowardly and spineless thing someone can do in any circumstance, pathetic beyond belief IMO. And some people call playing in solo cowardly to avoid this sort of behaviour SMH. Would the op be saying that if they didn't have enough money to cover the rebuy and lost everything?
Once again I must state that I am SO happy solo let's me avoid this sort of "gameplay". I honestly think there is a certain level of "masochism" going on with some people and this game!! and just in case we get the "consensual" issue people have with word meanings....this is the meaning of masochism I mean:
- (in general use) the enjoyment of an activity that appears to be painful or tedious.
"there's plenty to do when the weather turns moorland walks into exercises in masochism"
But alas this is what a huge lump of PvP unfortunately is in ED?
PvP must surely fall into three camps?
1) Purposeful PvP
Two CMDRs doing something for a reason/outcome knowing the "risks". eg: Powerplay tasks. Or a CG for some outcome.
Let's not discuss at this point the lack of orchestrated missions (CGs) to truly push CMDRs against each other for PvP. eg: A Wing of CMDRs protect a ship being repaired, while another Wing of CMDRs attempt to destroy it.
2) Out of Game PvP
A PvP fight organised at a location/time just for the sake of it for no game reason/outcome.
3) Mindless PvP
Random interdiction/attack of a victim, all too often not interested in a fight, let alone capable of a fight. In reality for no ingame reason/outcome, and most likely just done for the lolz.
Now if we were to break down these three into a pie chart, what would their sizes be? Who would suggest (3) is sadly very large, if not the largest? And why after 2.5 years isn't (1) the largest? Why isn't a multiplayer game in 2017 orchestrating/offering interesting easy to access PvP for a reason/purpose/outcome for those interested in it? Why is mindless ganking done purely for its toxicity still basically just the norm?
