I've been lurking this thread all week and I just wanted to stop by to say you guys are simply amazing at solving these things! This is all soooo fascinating! Thank you all for this hard work sciencing. Really considering joining the Canonn now :)

2 questions

1 does every wreck site have an Amomia world in the same system?
2 Are up's spawning at these planets.

Reason why i ask is i wanna get back in the game but a UP hunt is ahead of me again and i really don't wanna go round and round a planet for 4 hours again with no result.
So looking for somewhere with a more acceptable spawn rate.

One other thing worth mentioning. the Scavengers talk thargoid, when you shoot them. crank up the volume and sit just inside the inner shell and shoot one outside, they cant traverse indoors for some reason, and they soon deaggro. However if you shoot again they seem to get quite annoyed and chitter a different pattern everytime., making me surmise they must be talking or shouting at you.

I checked this already 3 times. UA UP UL did not die while on ruins site. But on others planets they are dying..

There has to be a reason for that.. Think about it as a game designer. If UA UP UL have no use on ruins site, why whould anyone make them inkillable in 2.3.1 update? Think about it.

Fair point :)

Rep if I can!

U got a sound sample of the chittering ?

If I recall correctly they degrade if you jettison from your ship but not if you jettison from srv. Land on planet jettison from ship it'll degrade same as space, pick up and drop in srv it'll be back to not degrading.

Thanks for that i just spat food all over me screen...:D

I aim to please.

But, we really are all going to die. Have you SEEN the size of their snot factories??

I was looking at decoding the binary directly from the audio. Unfortunately, there is far too much background noise to do it reliably. So.. pen & paper it is.

These wrecks are pretty huge. If they turn out to be mobile, it may prove problematic lol. It'll really push the need to form wings and fight as a community together.

Hi all, catching up on the thread this morning, great to see there are more discoveries to be made!

I just ran into something that's interesting, although not necessarily connected. Plotting the locations of the active sites so far, I noticed the California nebula is somewhat close and took a look at eddb.

The system where the Alliance mycoid research bases are setup (including recent expansions): California Sector JH-V c2-12 has all the hallmarks of most active site systems. Bright star, gas giant with ammonia based life, with several fitting moons in Orbit - one research base is actually on the first moon.

Also interesting, the cluster of active sites so far is very near halfway between Sol and the California nebula - about 500 ly each way.

More info I found: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/349005-New-California-Nebula-Alliance-bases-construced

I flew out there this morning and nothing seemed unusual in the system at first glance. Might be unrelated to the current investigation, but seems like it is another piece in the bigger picture.

Gettting a second UP took me short of three hours.

What kind of sensors you have on your ship? I typically have D grade, but read that engineered grade A cause much higher spawn rate of UP, so I am going to get me some today :)
