finally after almost 2 years

and playing solely in open for the last 6 months i was actually interdicted by a player cmdr tonight in Colonia. Yes, i did die (after the second interdiction) but it was an interesting experience. And it won't put me off playing in open.

my only criticism was the lack of comms no RP or anything tbh. just the interdiction and then the race to get out lol.

a small point but io was in my lightweight python and really stood no chance. As they say never fly without rebuy. i hope to see you again cmdr.

Bad luck, but kudos for the good attitude.

If you intend to fly in open around CMDR hotspots, think about getting some defenses for your python

I got wasted by a clipper, in an un-armed dolphin the other day.
thinking about it, instead of trying to run, I should have invited him to a PVP in my locally stored battle bus.
Would have been more fun all round.

Unlucky! Rep for positive attitude though! :)

I'm not fond of the random "I killz u now!" players, but I do indulge them, and let them chase me around about, before escaping unharmed. Or that's the plan anyway. :p

My lightweight Python is a deathtrap too. 320mj of shields. And it's actually quite slow. Lol
On the other hand, my PvE mission running Python is actually rather hard to kill. And it's fast. :D

@unhappydev

i am currently Hotfooting (should read crawling i suppose) my way to Colonia in my heavily modded python on my main account so i got that sort of covered when i get there .

In Colonia ? Holly crap, I am planning on heading there after I visited the core... guess i'll be coming in in solo, I am not losing 25k Ly of exploration data to some griever !

You can't expect someone that plans to kills hundreds of CMDRs to justify to all or any of them.

He might be against Colonia politics, against a multi-bubble inhabited galaxy or maybe wanting to kill all the explorers/scientists who go with UA's to the thargoid bases trying to stir it up.

Some things are better left alone.

P.S. you can use this vid to learn how to survive a gank.

my point in this post is that after all that time of playing open on and off and solely for the last 6 months maybe it is not so dangerous after all. and if it encourages just one person to give it a try then yeah i consider it thread worthy.

Then my Tuna Salad deserves some kudos then?

Why? Why should propping up open be anything to clebratel? People do stuffs in open all of the time. It just isn't note worthy. You got shot up in open, cool. Now you're one of the awesome's too.

i did all that i am on my way to colonia in teh thing right now on my main account
got it up to 1299 shields and 1200 hull just got to learn to use it now but it should get me out of trouble i reckon.

Something to work with. Keep 4 pips in shields all the time. It's not a guarantee that you will survive but hey, at least you are giving yourself a chance.
