Victory Nameplates...

I just noticed Victory nameplates... Just a question. Does the Victory Nameplate actually marks your actual kills either automatically or you somehow put the number in yourself?

The blurb doesn`t explain although the pictures make it look like that.

Given that it is advertised as 9 different plates...three styles in three colors, and the only style difference is the number of incorrect tally groups...six tally marks instead of five, I'd say it is not dynamic.

Besides that...based on the wording in the description, those tally marks could be for anything...ELW's discovered, number of successful docks, number of typo's in this weeks newsletter...

My guess is that it's a fixed image.

Also (for those that haven't seen the other thread), what's wrong with this image ...

So from the Newsletter Store Spotlight...

"Killing your enemies in scores of six..."

Will these name plates help me make the Sag A* Run in under 12 parsecs too?

Must be lots of interbreading round Cambridge way.

Probably explains the strange footwear our commanders have. Probably got webbed feet

Sung to the Munsters theme tune

If it does mark your kills I will definitely be getting it. What about that other nameplate (Ace)? Does it track kills by size (small, medium, large)?

I'm so glad that this is a british forum, in germany this must be censored [wacko]

Let's say, it would be open to discussion and juidicial interpretation - ok if you could convince the judge that it is a historic document, not ok for frivolities like a computer game that would be accessible to minors.
Yes, we have (or had at least - it's been some time) pictures of swastikas in our schoolbooks. And I was able to watch Iron Sky (via Netflix Germany) uncensored, so even the frivolities stuff is open to interpretation, but then again, Netflix has an age lock.

Dynamic nameplate for these would be particularly useful. They're a bit silly otherwise, not actually having meaning beyond a superficial callback to fighter plane tradition.

Would be neat to have an explorer-themed one indicating number of first-discovered systems (though I suppose the victory nameplate can stand in for that, conceptually).
