I'm sure we will see flying Thargoid megaships. FD has the habit of adding the wreak version of ships, one release before the flying version.
I feel you man, I'm in the same boat. I have been hyperdicted but have never had an encounter at a barnacle and am struggling to find a UP. Though of course I can't really complain about the RNG after getting that first UA convoy.

@ cmdr dreamstate.....I thought I read somewhere that an Alliance group were responsible for giving the thargoids the cure?
Been following developments with great interest.
If there is a link between the Guardians and the Thargoids, it could be that the Thargoids are organic machine descendants of the Guardian AI’s.
Before I wondered if we haven’t yet seen an actual Thargoid, and only their automated machines.
Now I wonder, what if everything we’ve seen are the actual Thargoids. They’re a hive mind, right? In essence, a single entity. Every probe, ship and barnacle we’ve come across are Thargoids, just a tiny piece of a greater intelligence, cells of a single body, working in concert to a greater combined will.
The Thargoids could be a huge interstellar conciousness that thinks in proportional scale. And perhaps, so far, we’ve escaped notice for being insignificantly tiny individuals.

That's FFE lore. It is just one of several branches for the story in that game and probably never happened in ED history.

The UP hasn't knocked you back sine 2.3 I believe. I only know because I noticed it a few weeks ago and someone told me
Nope that didn't happen in Elite Dangerous. The last missions of FFE are not counted as part of Elite Dangerous lore. Pretty much everything up to the formulation and creation of a cure have been confirmed though.
I've seen stuff like that too, but at this point in time, I can't distinguish it from the Old Lore and the Oolite Lore (of which has nothing to do with Elite); with regards to the Old Lore, there's not a real way in telling if it has been Retconned or, as Braben likes to say a lot, has been the work of truth, half-truths, or complete fiction (which is another way of Retconning lol).
For now, I've just stuck to what's been in the game and said in interviews with Braben
It's possible. Depending on how much of the original Elite lore is being adhered to, all Thargoids are supposedly female, and generally speaking, in a hive mind there is usually a Queen guiding everything, and being protected. So if they're all female, this may not apply...
.. however, the idea of searching for a Thargoid Queen is somewhat interesting. Maybe that's how we 'win' the war.. use data collected to find the Thargoid Overmind and ... kill it
Another day, another bunch of sites discovered overnight as I slept. Great work chaps!!
Seeing as I am unable to partake in the HLL LHL area of location decoding...I am offering my services into the guardian tech side of things. i.e. Taking relics to the machine and trying new combinations...I find this area very intriguing and seeing as there's been little mention of it here (everybody seems concerned with finding new bases/crash sites) I've taken it upon myself to go at it from this angle. There must be some reason why we are able to put guardian tech inside the machine, the fact that Fdev have animated something for this shows that there's a link to be discovered here...otherwise the machine would simply refuse these items.
Couple this with the fact that in the beta test (from what I read anyways) Fdev were asking people to flock towards ruins sites, maybe for some kind of stress test server wise, maybe because they were ultimately expecting a lot of cmdrs to be around those areas....maybe I'm looking too much into this....maybe not.
The fact remains....there are more than a few proverbial arrows pointing towards these guardian sites and not enough attention being sent that way.
Also....is there a Canonn pg group on Xbox I can join? I don't do open as my trust for griefers during such an important time is kinda low...especially seeing as it took me 5 hours to get a UP.
Would be nice to work with others towards this guardian related goal and collate findings.

That's how I did all the UA transmission morse decoding for the ship drawings, long time ago.
Speaking of those drawings, has anyone rechecked that the UA transmissions works the same way in 2.3.10? What about the UP transmissions?
