What's the Size of the Thargoid Surface Site?

This is BlueTesla's edited screenshot. The surface site is presumed to be a growing Thargoid capital ship. How big is this thing compared to a Farragut?

I took the biggest grown component and edited my screenshoot. There are totaly 8 parts each in a outer and a inner circle. This is the result and I think something is growing there. Epic docking-sequence ahead !!?

there is an anaconda in that pic. By my rough estimate I count 20 Annie lengths. Annie is 152.4 feet long. That 3048 feet. Roughly 0.57 miles wide.

**Edited: apologies. It's meters. Not feet.

So it's almost 2 miles wide.
Farragut class Capitol ship is 1.26 miles long.

You can use the Ship Recall to measure the site - you have to get roughly 2.5km from the centre to be able to recall your ship.
So about 2km radius.

SLF is a great measuring tool. Just leave the mothership on HOLD POSITION, and fly to the opposite side in the SLF. Distance is shown on the HUD, up to 25km max.

I'm parked at a site now, with an SLF in tow... but I can't login today.

After a short reconnaissance mission yesterday I wanted to post up a conformation of a rough scale for the megastructures.

The central visible area above the surface is approximately 5km in diameter, and the cracked/effected surface area surrounding the visible area extends out another 2.5km giving a potential diameter of 10km +\- 10%.

According to old lore, Thargoid baseships were the size of small planets... What we see here might be an engine nozzle or a gun emplacement :p

edit: might also be a ship-launched fighter... We are so doomed...

More or less, +/- 10 m.

Miles?
4.250m?
10km +/- 10%?

Come on gang, you're better than this.
Do the SLF thing with a friend to video and have some empirical data.

And do it in real money, not in cubits or whatever our unfortunate 'Murrican cousins use to measure their deaths-by-handgun.

Just my 2 cents;

These are Mycoid bombed motherships from several hundred years ago. The ones that are not active are truly dead (they have rotted and succumbed to the virus). The active ones are alive, but they are dying very slowly.

I very much doubt any of the wrecks will ever fly again. The Thargoids coming in 2.4 will more then likely be a Mycoid immune fleet, complete with fresh Motherships.

Ha ha that would be a sight to see. Imagine seeing a Thargoid ship cracking the planet surface like an egg and fly away :-D

OFC Those are ships. Why would you have a star map inside the central room (Bridge?) otherwise? And Thargoids seem to be quite versed in growing things out of barren ground (see barnacles). That Thing is not dead. It's not even "Born" yet.
