Quince Missions?

2 days ago, I was chatting with a fellow CMDR who was making money at Quince. So, yesterday, I preped my Courier and flew the 30 jumps to Quince. When I got there, I docked at Millerport and there was 5 missions. Only 1 was a planetary scan, for not very many credits. So where have all those high-paying missions gone?

They were nerfed by Fdev in the a recent update. This nerf keeps planetary missions from spawning too much. However I heard there is a glitch that happens when you reload the mission board many times giving you the same amount of missions than before the patch. There are youtube videos about it I believe. I haven't tried this myslef.

I think scan missions are still there, you just have to wait for the "lucky" mission board to refresh. Also with higher local rep you will get more of them. [up]

You need better rep with the factions to get higher paying missions. Do every mission you can until you max out your rep with each faction. Once you're maxed out on rep, they will hand out ~13mil (max) massacre and ~2mil (max) planet scan missions.

Been doing them since last night, just taking whatever the mission board spews out .... up 100 million sofar

Nope. If your exploration rank is higher you can get 3+ mil planet scan missions. Your info is incorrect.

Stop spreading misinformation, especially since you do not know what you're talking about and haven't been there.
Fdev has NOT nerfed scan missions at Quince. It totally depends on WHAT state the factions are in how many missions are listed as well as your exploration rank.
As mentioned, you have to get Allied with the local factions to get the larger payouts.
Sometimes the board will show a lot, other times not. Its RANDOM.
There is NOT a glitch. Mode switching is not a glitch. All it does is give a chance that the board will be reset and FDev has comfirmed it is working as intended.

It is also potentially influenced by the number of CMDRs in that region i.e. if lots are taking planetary scan missions then it stands to reason you are in competition for those missions.

What you need to do is make a note of the mission frequency, payout etc vs. your rank and reputation plus faction status over time to spot the patterns. Having a high explorer rank, max faction rep and the state to be in boom all contributes to lots of missions particularly if you access the mission board outside of peak hours.

1 - Get Allied status with all 6 factions.

2 - Become a multi-billionare at the rate of 150 million per hour grinding scans till your eyes bleed.

3 - Retire to Achenar and play Elite your way.

You need to rank up your rep with the local factions first. With a little bit of RNG luck with the boards you can easily get 10 or so missions making around 20 million or so each run.
