Sometimes while playing Elite a lot of us would be guilty of focusing all our attention to the outside of our respective cockpits. As a result of this we often miss the the small but no less beautiful details within the cockpit. For instance last night I was just doing a few Engineer runs. I suddenly noticed that the cockpit of my Python had a Mahogany like wood inlay. I thought to myself just wow! such detail. Now I know Frontier come in for some criticism from time to time, and to be fair some of that criticism is justified. But nevertheless it's things like the wood inlay or the Leather effect on the FDL cockpit that keep me coming back.

Feel free to post similar experiences.

I fly the cobra mk3 alot and I love the cockpit. Those little air vents(?) Are so cool (no pun intended), I just imagine the cool air circling the cockpit with cool air, and the details in most of the ship's cockpits are just so cool (sorry for the excessive use of the word cockpit, but they are all pretty cool)

I really like the cockpit of the t9-no certain details, but the position of the other seats and the view. Have to try it in multirole...

I'm a sucker for Python and FDL interiors as well, I actually stare around my ship quite a bit admiring the models. My true loves though are the Gutamaya stuff. I know others don't like the Courier cockpit but to me it feels the closest to like an F22 in space and is probably my favorite ship (haven't had a Vette or Cutter yet though)

I was more baffled by the overuse of the word "cool"

The Python cockpit certainly is a thing of beauty.
I also enjoy the Cobra cockpit a lot.

The Adder is worth mentioning too.
But it should be of a darker colour and with less internal light.

But if they moved the seats a little forward, that would help.

I love how one can take selfies of ones avatar. If ye focus on a frontal view and play with the throttle stick, while moving the camera so one can merely see the hand and arm movements, my avatar throws his head back in obvious throws of self induced passion...

Although personally speaking, thats enjoying the not so little things ^
