Surprise! For the thousandth time, "rare" mission rewards are borked

Question: Are already owned obsolete micro ressources removed automatically from our hold or do we have to perform a "house cleaning" manually?
If the later: Is there a complete list of materials not needed any more?

Basic Conductors
Chemical Storage Units
Compact Composites
Crystal Shards
Filament Composites
Heat Resistant Ceramics
Tempered Alloys

They are removing them from mission rewards, I see no reason for them to be removed from your inventory.

Thanks for the list, fennster!

Well, the reason to remove them from the inventory would be to automatically *) free space for new and actually useful materials.
Or is there any reason to keep them?

*) Not every player is active in the forum and learns about the change.

I didn't mean there is no reason to, I mean there is no reason they will. I could be wrong they might just remove the commodities outright.

It's kind of the nature of engineers at the moment really. Without using third party apps/websites you just don't know.

Even the items that can be used, might not ever be used.

As an example Anomalous FSD telemetry is only used in one blueprint, long range interdictor. You could carry 100 of them around and never need them. There are many others.

Hi there,

Fix was already in last week.

MEF are in this patch, though.

Thanks,
Dom

Does Wake Scanning work again? I'm on an XBox, and ever since 2.3.10 I have not picked up a single bit of data from more than 200 scans - is that just unlucky? I used to get them fairly regularly - the common ones that is. I've never had a rare [like a Datamined Wake Exception]

Data storage full?

Nope. Valid point though - it is the sort of silly thing I've done in the past. But nope.

Perhaps I am just in RNG hell? We all get these dead spots [reading through this forum, I know I am not alone].

I mean I've got no data items AT ALL from ship scanning or wake scanning, and it stopped on the last update [2.3.10]. I can get data items from planetary missions, and private beacons - so it does work - just not wakes or ships any more. I will try 2.3.11 tonight.
