Exploration: monthly telemetry discovery bonus

while it's not necessarily an issue now, down the line nobody will be able to get first discovery bonus because the galaxy will have been explored.

however, information from systems discovered long ago may be out of date. new scans could record current changes in atmospheric conditions and other more fluid information, in the same way market data often changes.

when some time has passed the telemetry discovery bonus can be gained again.

The elite galaxy will never be fully explored.

There will be fewer undiscovered systems in ten years time, but there will still be thousands undiscovered.

After two and a half years there is actually only like 0.5% of the galaxy explored in Elite? I don't think running out of systems to tag is any kind of issue right now, nor for the next few decades.

First discoverer is currently pointless, aside from kudos.

If that becomes the requirement for the Elite ranking, then it becomes relevant, but for now it isn't. Sure, you get a bonus, but that's irrelevant when you can fly the routes and be Elite in a few days.

We're still a fair way off 0.0001%, on the last numbers I saw. We will never even explore 1% of the galaxy.

Not a big fan of the idea. Lots of first discovered out there to find as already mentioned. A bonus or increase in payouts for a complete system scan (all bodies) to provide an updated data set could return higher rewards.
