Stuck at Pro Treia AC-D d12-1

Hello, I'll have to leave for today.
I'll return on thursday evening.

Thanks for your support.

Faxe

Yes, good point Anuranium...the more Cmdrs killing rocks the quicker the job will be to find the elusive jump mats for Faxe (forgot about that one).

Frawd

I hope to make it in time to join the party on Thursday, if only to increase the spawn rate.

...
Hope to see you there.

Thanks for mentioning :)

Just want to say that this is one of the things that makes me proud to be a part of the exploration community in ED.
Someone's in trouble and you guys are banding together to help him out. Good work all. :)
Hope you get to safety soon, Faxe!

Very proud to be part of this community. The exploration forum is always calm and friendly with people happy to chat and exchange knowledge. :)

Hello faxe, sorry to hear you're stuck in the middle of nowhere...
Hopefully you're not too far from inhabited space and as I can see there are already a lot of volunteers to get you out of there
Even Chiggy "The Lost Souls Saviour" is here to help.... You're definitely in good hands.
Hope you'll be safe soon and as Ziggy said, don't forget to record your rescue !
We explorers, in moments of solitude, always like to find some comfort in happy end stories

This thread is another shining example of the awesomeness of the Elite Dangerous community in general, and explores in particular.

Yes, we are incredibly individualistic and jealously guard our First-Discovered ELW's (until handing them in), but if "one of us" is in trouble we drop everything to help out. Kudos to all involved!

Will anybody be streaming this rescue?
Also, not sure if anybody has checked this yet but is the onward journey after the initial jump ok, or will he need several boosts?

Hello commanders,
my scouted route. Recommendations welcome. IF he really just wants to get back to denser space that is.

And here is a rudimentary map of the relevant materials for Jumponium:

I can't be online tomorrow evening so good luck with the surface scooping and / or mining!

Looks like this is turning into one of the best explored areas of the galaxy :D

I've made it into the system. Now I hope that "Thursday evening" matches with my time zone and window of playing the game :).

I'm in my brand new, SRV equiped, Diamondback Explorer (no mining laser).

I just wanted to pop in and say that I think this is fantastic that so many are willing to help. This game just keeps getting better and better!!!

Having scanned the system, the best places to look for materials for FSD boosting are the 2b moon (Y: 1.2%; Nb: 1.3%; As: 2.5%; V: 4.8%) and the 1f moon (Cd: 1.4%; Ge: 5.3%). Between them, these two will provide all the materials for both J1 and J2 boosts. I have brought a mining lance as well as a SRV but surface prospecting is much faster, especially in groups.

Why not 4A iso 1F?
Cd: 1.5%, Ge 5.6%, As 2.5% ;-)

I agree with 2B

See my post #45

It all depends on the skills of the CMDR being rescued. Scooping from the surface is faster , but picking up mats from mining in rings is a good deal safer, all he needs is one germanium and one vanadium and he can get out, and I have went ahead and located them, so that takes alot of the time factor out of mining from rings.

Whatever we decide. Or we just wait for The Faxe's opinion? :)
I'm with it. I can mine and I can prospect.
I also tried out the rings. But I haven't had your luck Chiggy.
Do you also have to be close to the spawning point of the material in space like on the surface?

Just have to be close enough to mine, the mats spawn with the mining fragments. The one being rescued follows close behind the miner, and watches his contacts panel at the bottom for the needed mat to drop. Once he sees it on his contact panel, he calls out, mining ceases and rescued CMDR rushes in to scoop it up. The miner just mines..as fast as he can..when 'roid is depleted..move straight away to the next one...rinse and repeat until needed mats are acquired.
