Manual Reload

I wish there were a way to manually re-load multi-cannons while the enemy is using chaff. I wouldn't even mind losing the extra rounds to space as long as I could have a full magazine when I wanted.
 
A much suggested idea. :)

I hate it when I have just a few rounds in the magazine during a lull in combat, then get in to combat, fire two shots, and then have to reload. It's bad practice to need a reload during a fight.

I'd be perfectly happy with using the modules tab to reload the clip for each weapon individually. I don't even mind losing what's left in the current clip either.

I honestly abhor how we can't manually reload.

It's so riddiculously... tedious to have to manually turn off some of my plasma accs, empty the others, and turn them back on again, just to maintain consistent burst opening damage.

Don't even get me started about my full-MCs federal DakkaDakka-ship... which I never touch, imagine why...

Apparently it's one of their natural "downsides", supposed to "balance" them in combat... But quite honestly, I don't know out of what design hellhole that notion managed to crawl. It needs to die...

And it's not even an "efficient" or even "functional" "way to balance weapons", since it can easily be circumvened, and since the initial burst after tedious-manual/station reload is always done with all weapons...


And if for the life of me it's just a matter of FD not wanting us to use that in combat... then just don't let us! I don't care, I'll sacrifice half my family to Mammon if need be, let us reload!

They should just add two bindable controls to dump the clips and reload the firegroup. A lot of people might not used them but the option should be there.
