Does this include older fiction such as Frontier 2? I'm curious to get the gazette and see what has changed.

I believe all the systems from Frontier: Elite 2 should be in the game. If any are missing it would be because Frontier Developments have more accurate star data.
Some names may have changed a little, which is to be expected in one hundred years.
Just to be clear, systems in the the gazetteer should be there, but FE2 had half a billion systems and the name generator wasn't that great. They'll most likely keep the few thousand anyone's actually heard of and do something better with the rest, although a part of me does want to spend Christmas in a system called "Hohoho"

Only significant systems have been brought forward as most of them were generated and we have a lot more real stars than FFE.

Ah apologies, I'll clarify what I meant. The previous game was trying to model the galaxy and this game is trying to model the galaxy, but it doing it with much more accuracy. I was referring to the real stars, I didn't think people would worry about the random systems.
