So this article appeared on my launcher from galnet:

Really? I get that realistically there would be multiple science groups wanting to study, but outside of Palin and Ram Tah (and maybe Elvira) I wouldn't expect to hear anything big from NPCs about Thargoid discoveries. This is what the whole Canonn and GNOSIS were for. If that random NPC group makes any "breakthroughs" it's gonna at least feel to me like maybe Frontier is devaluing the players interactions and discoveries in favor of more "handwaving" to make things happen. The only thing I want to hear from this random npc group is that they were completely obliterated with zero discoveries. Maybe I'm overthinking things, but I really dislike that THAT made galnet instead of more Canonn breakthroughs.
Anyone else feel like it's forcing storytelling? Or am I just overthinking it?
