Longitud/Latitud to the top of the screen please (for peoples which love the game but having problems with their eyes )

Hello,
I love the game (I am on PS4), you done a great job, but please could you place the Latitude and longitude, and the gravity on the top of the screen (or anything which is not on the planet texture)??
Understand me (us), it is very difficult to read latitude and longitude when you are searching a coordinate (or anything else) on a planet, specifically when the planet is the same colour than the colour of the longitude and latitude...
Please you will do a great favor to all the people which love this Elite Dangerous but have problems with their eyes...
I am wearing glasses (Myopia and astigmatism) not a problem IRL, but a real problem when searching a latitude and longitude on a planet...

This is the second time I am searching something with coordinates on a planet (1st time for Meta alloys, and this time because I received a message about a crashed ship from the game) and I must be seat on the table at 1m from my 40" FULL HD LCT TV (this I have never done, in any game - my table is very hard) to see the latitude and longitude (or I must keep the nose of the ship in front of the space which is not easy)...
Thanks
Cedric

Part of the problem is that the info is darker than the other text, which makes it hard to read.

Workarounds:

  1. You can increase the HUD brightness (on the right UI pane, settings panel) which will help somewhat.
  2. If you are on a PC, you can change the HUD color (in the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\elite-dangerous-64\GraphicsConfiguration.xml file) to something other than orange, but that will mess up the radar, so that enemies are no longer read. A blue HUD is a lot more visible on beige, however, I can't deal with the messed up radar colors, so I've settled on a custom HUD desaturated orange (I added more blue to the mix). That makes the HUD more visible against orange stars and beige planets.

These are the settings I use:
<MatrixRed> 1, 0.12, 0.33 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0, 1, 0.5 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0, 0, 1 </MatrixBlue>

Sadly I am not on PC, I play ED on PS4 so will never have the great settings you have on PC [knocked out]
I could try to increase the luminosity but It will change nothing on planet like this one...

PS : Thankyou FDEVS while I was posting this screenshot a B#@$ B@&$% imperial eagle attacked me, and because I was uploading this file and also because changing propulsion settings on SRV/VRS crash completely left panel options (R1/L1 didn't work anymore and need a logout-login of the game), I didn't saved my ASP Explorer (you own me 600 000 credits and a beer) !!!

If you contact FD Support, it's likely that they would restore your credits. They are fairly understanding of situations like this.

Those settings aren't as great as you might think. Changing the HUD color changes all the UI colors (and messes up the radar blip colors).

There is hope; adjustable HUD colors are probably the single most requested feature for this game. Apparently, it is very difficult for them to fix this properly, otherwise they surely would have fixed it by now.

I was just struggling to read these numbers in-game. It does not help that most planets/moons are beige. That is too close to the orange UI text to be easily read.

The coords are very important in the Ancient Ruins mission. Several planets/moons have more than 1 set of ruins and the coords are the only way to distinguish them. It occurred to me that these numbers would be a lot easier to read, if only FD dimmed the surrounding area, like they do for 2 UI areas on the bottom left and bottom right. If they did that, they should also brighten the coord text. That might be easier to do, than changing the text location (your original suggestion).

I would prefer the beer ;) but I will not stress them with that (let them fix the SRV Settings, and found a way to make Lat/Long more visible, and I will pay them a Beer (all of them - Wait how much are they ?)) ^^...

You are probably right, completely changing the place of something could create more problems than it would solve, but yes a background dark color under the more important informations would help (If I dared I would ask them to add a Trim indicator for entering/exiting the Stations : Coriolis, etc) because depending the shape of your ship it is easy to hit the walls...

I agree I've just started to get into the srv side of things hunting for geysers and it's a real problem why not extent the vehical dash a bit higher on that side ?
