What ship will you be most intrigued to finally walk around?

Cutter. So I can get lost and spend the next 10 years trying to find the bridge. (That's where I fly it, not some Scandi drama)

Anaconda.

Its the only ship that has little gleams of modern day technology like cables everywhere. Think it'll look cool to look around.

if we are imagining it then I would love to walk around a 1:1 scale fully open capital ship. walking up and down the halls, taking the elevator and looking out on the bridge. probably never going to happen but a man can dream

My Corvette.
But I have the recurrent desire to walk from the bridge of the Anaconda to the observation deck in the nose.

I feel that, of all the things Frontier has been asked to do, this is the biggest waste of time. It will add NOTHING to the actual game play.

Absolutely! It's pointless. Or it will be after the five minute fascination of walking around has worn off.

How often in the real world are we choosing to go to the shops or even work, when we can order from a screen?

Every one of these threads reminds me how bad I want to walk in a ship in this game.

An asp would probably feel like a house, if you'd ask me.

A house?

In my opinion its not about the gameplay, space legs is about the immersion, being able to walk around your ship and take in the scope and feel of being a small invidiual in a larger universe, it adds another level of immersion to the game. Whats the point of simulating a space sim if its not going to be at least a little realistic, people are in these ships, not robots or AI.

That's a bit of a leap, isn't it?

For sure, if FDev are beavering away, modelling ship interiors, just so we can wander around, looking inside lockers and flushing the toilet (like a certain other "project" I could mention) then, yeah. I'd rather they spent their time on something else instead.

I would hope, however, that space-legs will bring it's own gameplay with it.
No doubt the first iteration of space-legs would be limited but once the mechanic is in place it's simple enough to expand upon.

Here's a wacky thought:-
When/if we get to that point, perhaps FDev could generate a bunch of proforma internal layouts for the various stations, platforms and outposts and then create a set of tools which allow people to create their own "quests" within them?
Once finished, the quest could be submitted to FDev and, if it's any good, they bung it in the game somewhere.

That way, people get to have some fun and FDev get content to put in the game without having to make the effort of creating it for themselves.

Ultimately, I think it'd be great to land at a surface outpost, be offered a mission to "eradicate an infestation within the city" and end up playing a miniature version of "Alien: Isolation" within ED.
The possibilities are almost endless. [up]

On topic, I'd like to walk around one of the big, clunky, ships; The T9, Anaconda or Corvette.
Assuming the interior models are fairly complex, I imagine ships like that would be kinda like the "Nostromo" inside.

Thats easy: The T9. I mean, just look at that Bridge. And there are those corriders on the side, I really, really wanna go and take a look there. I'm sure theres some Alien sitting there...

Me too, it's got to be the T9. Hopefully there's a large kitchen with lots of food at the end of the corridors.

I've been thinking about this, and it really is my Asp X. The damn ship is the size of a suburban block, I'd love to see what's in it!

I want to walk around my sidewinder, which from what I can gather is get up, out the door at the back, through the SRV hanger and then out the back door into the space station.

When walking around turns up, it will be time for me to restart my commander I think, and start all over again as the game will completely different with space legs with much more gameplay opportunities.
