My fourth account made it to Elite in Trading today....

What the title says.... it happened when I turned in the last run for the Asteriod base cargo CG. :)

So, four out of five accounts are now Elite in Trade.

All of them are still a loooong way from being tripple Elite, and the fifth account is an Ironman account, Open play only, and will be reset upon death and when a major release comes live, so I will probably never reach any Elite rank with that one. :D

Thanks! And, yes... Elite is not a game for me; it is a hobby... just like some others are flying drones, or go out fishing or whatever. :)

Well, the fith one is allready explained...

For the main 4 ones... after a while, I just got the urge to play from scratch. So I added a second account. This also allowed me to start experiment with Wing related coop-stuff; Mining / Rares etc. After a while playing on that and the first, I again, felt the urge to play from scratch, but I didn't want to lose the progress of the first two... and similar thing with the fourth account.

With the main 4, I have done a lot of Wing experimentation... one reason is that it is very hard for me to find like-minded people in the game. I would say more than 90% of the playerbase are into pew-pew, and I am not at all into that myself.

So, when I do find like-minded people, I usually know the ins and outs allready, and might even have suggestions on how to optimize. But as I said, I view ED more of a hobby rather than a game, so that is why I invest a lot of time in it.

I just have fun, never grind. :)

Haha...fully understandable... the thing is, my goal, with any of my CMDRs, are not to reach tripple Elite... I might get there, eventually, but it is not a motivator. I just use them to have fun, and it is just a happy accident that I have reached Elite in Trading with the main 4. It was never my goal, but having fun in the game, seem to progress the Trade ranks more than the others, for me. :)

1) Currently, I am on vacation, which has increased my playtime a lot. Usually, doing work-weeks, I play 2-4 hours / evening. A bit more during weekends.
2) Not burning out = I make sure to do something that feels fun for me in the game. I might go for a mining stroll, or do some missions, or CG. If, I for some reason doesn't feel that any of those activities feels fun, I just don't play.

I want add this as well...

Appart from all the wing experiments... one thing that was nice was when I was ranking with the Empire to get a Cutter with one of my CMDRs (probably the only real goal for me in the game, so far), as soon as I got a bit bored about it, I just parked, logged out and logged in with another account and went for some mining or doing some BGS work, or went for a CG.

And, this way, I had one activity / CMDR.

Also, having the job I have, means that there will be natural breaks from the game; when a deadline comes closer, there will be some overtime work, and then I just don't have time to play. I also never force myself to play; if I don't feel like, I just don't start the game.

I hope this helps explaining why I don't get burned out.
