Trump has no redeeming features, but his loyal snake-oil-addicted fans will only desert him when somebody even worse shows up.

Pretty much. At this point Trump can't do anything wrong in their eyes. Even if he behaves like an idiotic moron and actively turns away the majority of allies the US has.

Yes, those 0,1% of your government budget really cut it out. Screw environmental protection, you'll eat money when goes down.

That's right. We'll save our money and when things go to hell in a handbasket, we'll use it to buy up all the food and build ourselves an orbital space station to live in, and we'll make the riff-raff who live in the rest of the world fight in the arenas for our amusement :D

Oh, some people will certainly try that. I just doubt that the majority of the US citizens will get a ticket to said space station. ^^

Or when he does something that's actually illegal, or worthy of impeachment.

*edit*

You folks realize, of course, that for many conservatives our undying support for Trump is not a foregone conclusion. He could do all kinds of things to sour himself in our eyes, but for the most part those things would need to be policy driven.

This "had a chat with a Russian" thing isn't nearly enough. Let him sell the office to the highest bidders, or take some steps to completely abandon the Conservative agenda, and then we'll talk.

They'll be given a fair shot in the arena :)
That would depend on how you define 'fair'? The Chump definition only includes what is beneficial to him and having to share that limited space with increasing numbers of people; does not meet his definition of fair.

Come on, man. Don't go trying to turn a pleasant, silly conversation into something it doesn't need to be.

But we shouldn't be at a stage where people will only change their minds about a politician if they get arrested and go to prison. Lying, stupidity, racism and terrible policies should be enough.

No no! I think you are missing the point of abandoning Earth for a space station. There are a small minority of very rich people who are destroying the planet. They are going to seek refuge in the space station. With a heavy sigh I think we should tell them that they must head out early in case they're too late.

Maybe we should tell them about the giant space goat that's also on the way.

Yeah, it's all the rich people doing it...

That's particulate matter and thus only a part of air pollution. Particulate matter alone is a bad indicator as it can have natural causes.

It happens quite frequently in the desert, which explains all of the deep red areas, except for the one on Chinas east coast. That's the thing though, China has agreed to do something about its airpollution as it won't be bearable for their citizens sooner or later.

I know that the US has committed 3 billion instead of the tens, let alone hundreds Trump claimed, thank you.

It's just another case of obvious and shameless exaggeration from the current administration and certainly not something that comes anywhere close to "other countries plundering the US treasury".

The problem isn't the amount. Any amount is too much. The is US 20 TRILLION dollars in debt with 5 times that amount in unfunded liabilities. We have no business handing out gifts to any country while our own infrastructure is crumbling and our debt continues to spiral out of control.

I love Trey Gowdy. I want to have his babies.

Personally speaking, there's absolutely nothing that Trump could say now that would make me approve of him - and I suspect many on the left would say likewise. That's not logical either - to say we'll reject him regardless of his policies or actions.
This may be more true to people who have grown up oin a two party system, but even there it's a phenomenon which is much stronger on the Conservative side of the isle.

Remember how the Republicans made it their mission to oppose Obama regardless of what he was trying to do. Suddenly Romneycare became socialism, for example.

Trum is boorish and unpleasant, and his attitudes towards women, minorities and the LTBTQ community are are downright disgusting. However, if he started championing environmental causes and pushing for other actually beneficial policies, I would support them, giving him credit.

Liberal / Left Wing distaste and resistance towards Trump isn't because of some abstraction. It's because of what he does, and what he is trying to achieve.

He's joking, right?

Unfortunately, no. According to the left, we didn't oppose Obama because we disagreed with his policies, but rather "just because" and because we're a bunch of racists.

BTW, Romneycare was socialism, but there was nothing wrong with Romneycare because it was a State run healthcare program.

States are perfectly within their powers granted by the constitution to run health care programs for their residents.
