So you think that global warming is going to destroy the planet?

I was also thinking...

...hence all my comments about getting that orange buffoon away from the Nuclear Football

One "side of the isle" judges others by content of character.

The "other side of the isle" judges others based on skin color, sex, religion, and social class.

You have dark skin color? You should vote for our party!
You are poor? You should vote for our party!
Blah, blah, blah. On and on.

ha - very good :)

Yes - even grammar, spelling, and punctuation are all fair game for the nit-pickers.

GOTCHA!!!!

Selectively applied - of course.

Unfortunately, no. According to the left, we didn't oppose Obama because we disagreed with his policies, but rather "just because" and because we're a bunch of racists.

*sigh*

According to GOP politicians themselves. GOP politicians literally and explicitly said they would do everything they could to block everything Obama proposed from the start, regardless of what it was/would be. You guys have a bizarrely tribal political system, with major decisions being based on petty vindictiveness rather than the best interests of the country. What is it with Republicans and straight-up denying facts?

GOP: We will block everything Obama does no matter what!
Republicans: They will carefully study the proposals and base their choice on that.

Trump: We met with Russians.
Republicans: They did not meet with Russians.

What has he done to concern you in that regard?

This...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...hy-us-cant-use-nuclear-weapons-if-he-becomes/

and also the intelligence of Republican congressmen...

Okay, mainly the "why have nuclear weapons" statement, but I really had to include that video <smirk>. I especially like the the reaction of the kid, and the smile on the adult he talks to.

The problem isn't the amount. Any amount is too much. The is US 20 TRILLION dollars in debt with 5 times that amount in unfunded liabilities. We have no business handing out gifts to any country while our own infrastructure is crumbling and our debt continues to spiral out of control.

There's one simple rule for cutting funds in a business. You start cutting where you spend the most.

Guess what Trump is not doing? I'll give you a clue: Reducing your debts.

The foreign aid the US grants is certainly not that area and sure af it's not a gift. No country on earth hands out gifts.

Is this real, or a comedy skit..?

I'm not much good on American politics but please tell me this is a joke!

Check the comments. To many people that is a legit and interesting question. Idiots will vote for idiots, such is the way of democracy.

I looked at the comments and now I feel slightly guilty I posted it here for people to point and laugh at... well, a little guilty. The question was asked in a good-natured way, and the congressman accepted the answer, even if the question itself seemed a little odd.

You misunderstand me. When I say "just because", the assumption is that we have no good reason to oppose him. If we disagree with a President's general philosophy then we have every reason to oppose him - especially in a year like 2008 when republicans were on the ropes.

Lots of, um, democrats rallying behind Trump at the moment? Chomping at the bit to get behind his social and foreign policies and what-not? Nancy Pelosi didn't have any problems stating the other day that there was nothing for them to get behind Trump on.

"Obstructionism" is so funny. It was the democrat's favorite buzzword during Obama's second term. We've seen democrats obstruct republican action time and time and time again, but they love yelling "Obstructionist!" when someone is getting in their way.

Hold on to your hat for this next one... when republican and democratic lawmakers obstruct each other and the President, they are doing their job.
