Download oculus software
Install oculus software
Run setup
Calibrate headset
View demo’s
Close oculus home
Shut down pc
Start pc
Launch oculus home
Launch elite dangerous
Go to settings in elite dangerous
Select hdm headset
Save settings
Back to main menu
Exit game
Close oculus home
Shut down pc
Start pc
Launch oculus home
Launch elite dangerous
Your in 3D !
Tweak settings to your liking and enjoy!

Took about 20 minutes to set up and another 20 minutes toget the sweet spot on visuals
This worked for me and no need to do partner key or re-installgame in oculus
Your setup and mileage may vary. And yes! no need for myglasses!

It's a like a new game after playing over 3200 hours I'm a newbie again... LOVE IT!

Welcome to your new ship(s) CMDR.

With initial reactions like this, I feel this sub-forum has the essence of what gaming/sims forums should be and much like the feeling in the 80's and 90's as the main boundaries were pushed in 3D gaming and people were seeing new virtual frontiers for the first time.
