My transaction tab still shows the bonus as 100 million.
Could be a 'repeat-offender' nerf though, to anyone who's completed the mission and taking it again from now on?

Assuming it's only people who newly get mission, not those in progress - or as you say repeat offenders compleaters.

Just to confirm....

I'm on my third mission for Palin. Technology Sample (1), Biological Sample (3) and Resin (3). First one to Maia Point, second 2 to Obsidian Orbital.

Will see what happens next.

Do you know if you get offered the mission at different locations, or is it always Obsidian?

Various stuff about this palin mission
Hahahha! So it pretty much seems like FD are exploiting their own bug with the ability to re-get the Ram Tah mission in order to generate RNG fetch quests for the alien goods.

On the one hand it's a shame it's *just* 3-4 tonnes, on the other, I guess I can load up with a bunch of stuff and redock a few times each run XD

Clever :) Think there's more to be done with this mechanic (i.e there's better things that could be done) but it's shiny, new and different, so [up]

Sadly It looks to be cyclic. I'm on the 4th mission and it's back to Biology. I'll give it another go and see what happens. I was kind of hoping it was going to be the unknown data types next.

Hmmm. My interest is piqued by the note in the message you get when docking:

"Hostile ships may be sent against you"

Maybe there's a chance to be attacked by Thargoids!

Just a few irritating Pirates from what I've seen unfortunately. Though I thought I saw something fly past me whilst in hyperspace on the left hand side. Might have just been caffeine overdose sickness though....

Might have been asked before. What is the conditions needed to get this mission. I have anti corrosive rack and all. i have docked, re docked and super cruise re docked and still nothing...

@Factabulous - Considering the amount of permits required to access long standing regions of 'empty' space; would it be wise to open a few of the older records of Pilots Federation activities? As they being the majority holders of information; the ramifications of finding deliberate coverups and/or dealings with specific groups could be quite destructive, though quite helpful to many research groups.

I'll explain my theory the best I can. However due to the nature of the theory most evidence is conjecture and/or quite hard to prove. I will update this post. Back then, it was just a hunch with no supporting evidence. it might still be.

Originally when I floated the idea of where Raxxla would likely be I was met with quite a bit of skepticism, and rightly so. Trolls prey on the idea, others just laugh when I give my answer.

Shintara, aka Founders World is my answer. It is home to a power hungry corps of elites, shrouded in secrecy, protected through mis-information, and is the seat of power for The Dark Wheel and the Elite Federation of pilots. Not only does Shintara fit all of the criteria outlined by Raxxla's myth, you would be hard pressed to find another canidate this close.

Major Spoilers for Drew Wagar's Mutabilis
In the book several individuals were killed by an elite assasin for possibly knowing/possessing information on Raxxla's location.

Considering above spoiler as knowledge being highly publicised (minus the Raxxla bit) in Galnet, one could not draw a sound conclusion of a PF coverup. However, the plot may go further yet.

Many of us know who 'Besieger' is. Most recall his acts during Salomé's run. The Rifters could tell you countless details about the Dynasty ordeal.

What if I could tell you the puppet masters behind it, with proof?

SDC was selected as a Colonia Canidate by the PF, and funded by their coffers. What the PF cannot control, they stifle or destroy. The PF lives on an information monopoly, selecting what needs to be heard. Ship UI, Station Firmware, Galnet, Galmap, Crimes, Bounties, Market Data, and more are controlled by the Pilots Federation. Colonia's extistance threatens that; as did those who carried the Raxxla intel, even Salomé.

With this in mind, the Thargoids, Dynasty, Raxxla, The Missing, (due to affiliation via interaction) the Guardians, Halsey, Jaques, Palin, the Cerberous plague; all end up pointing at the Pilots Federation. With enough time I might be able to even link Hengest Duval's assasination and Emperors Dawn back to them.

My suggestion? Keep an eye out for more links and references. It sounds crazy now, though it may become clearer over time. Go to Shinrarta Dezhra and read all the beacons. Shintara may be just a red herring. However it seems to be the start of quite the rabbit hole.

I'll keep digging to see what else they may be hiding. Raxxla is just the start...

The Holdstock Theory
Since Robert Holdstock (and all of his pen names) authored The Dark Wheel novella included with FE1, I looked for mention of Raxxla in his previous works. I had found one, The Alien World. It decribed a race of reptillian creatures who sow discord via proxies, shadows, and psycological warfare. They were known as the Osio-Raxxlans. My first interpretation from a slightly cynical perspective was of a governmental allegory due to the whole 'reptillian' theme. In taking the Osio-Raxxlan's traits (minus scales) overlain with the agenda and ways of the PF makes me wonder if it was intentional.

The Shintara Issue
The rare good 'Waters of Shintara' speaks of a medicinal spring. We've all heard the shtick, medicinal spring water. What's weird is stories like that crop up on the old worlds and amongst tribal groups. Shintara (Founders World) is a relatively new terraformed world (or so Galmap says). Also, why change the name of the planet? This suggests either a discrepancy in the lore or a hint at a coverup.

David Braben's Clue (actual tinfoil)
'It is in the game.' 'We (Frontier) know where it is.' 'There will be no clues.' (There is an article on Drew Wagars site with Braben's response.)

So Raxxla does exist. Better yet, we have another link... Why state 'We (Frontier) know where it is.' when it's existance in Elite Dangerous was already confirmed? In Elite, Frontier are always represented as the PF when anything requires their ingame input (Ship release, Station Changes, etc.). So am I to take that the PF know where it is?

'There will be no clues.' Suggests that either they have said too much, or that the leads are already in-game.

I'd take this all in with a pinch of salt. The PF links however are quite solid.
