And just so we are clear....
Yay!
Russian collusion is such a broad term... it can be seen as anyone speaking with Russian officials or Russian Descendant
It
is a broad term, which is why the investigation is trying to work out whether there was anything happening at the criminal end of it.
Thinking about that "adoption" meeting last year:
Part of the ongoing problem is that the security clearance form (signed by Kushner, Sessions, etc) requires them to put all contact with foreign - not just Russian - interests, which they did not do so. Now, Trump Jr didn't sign the form as he is not in the administration, however:
1) Even with no criminal intent, meeting with agents of a foreign government and then covering it up looks
very bad.
2) Kushner sat in on the meeting and didn't report it. Whether meeting was long or short is irrelevant. The meeting happened.
3) The meeting was set up under the pretext of supplying information about the oppo campaign:
a) Can be seen as attempting to take something of value from foreign interests.
b) Fantastically stupid as now the foreign govt knows how they can compromise you (bait).
4) White House officials helped write the official denial that it happened, which was contradicted the next day.
All of this is potential issues over
ONE 30 minute meeting. Going by the email chain there was certainly other contact with related people.
There's a whole lot of stuff that the investigation needs to go through.
Now, the Trump folks may be found to be innocent of any criminal actions, however how they are going about handling the situation smells very badly.
EDIT: What is very interesting (and necessary) is that Mueller is looking to go after Trump's financial records. Trump loves money, and isn't too concerned where he gets it from. This whole Russian saga could well be simply Trump trying to make himself richer, and there are people in Russia who made a stupendous amount of money out of the fall of communism and the ones who haven't been killed or jailed are very friendly with Putin. Also, like it or not, the Russians have a long history of their intelligence services actively attempting to compromise targets, and Putin is trained in this world.
Add it all together and Trump, trying to make money, has ended up in debt to some extremely rich Russians with friends in high places. This is inherently a problem for a US President to be in. The fact that he's pretty unpredictable but easily manipulated just adds to the carnage. I'm imagining that the FSB and GRU are collectively laughing their butts off.
however what the issue is entirely about.. is the Russians Affecting the outcome of the Election...
US intel agencies are highly confident that organizations linked to the Russian state directly affected the election process through hacking.
Whether they affected the election through collusion with the Trump campaign is under investigation.
Podesta as we know accused the Republican nominee(Trump) of Colluding with the Russians in Hacking the DNC emails
It's possible that this was the bait that the Russians were dangling in the meeting I mentioned above. Now, did Trump specifically ask the Russians to hack Clinton - hyperbolically yes, but in practice probably not.
This has always been the foundation of the Lie... but you have forgotten the accusation and likewise the MSM who have decided to widen the scope of the Russia collusion Narrative to include anyone and everyone tied to the US Administration who is helping with Making America Great Again
There are several linked issues, some of which are currently being investigated.
The last 6 months has not made America any greater than it was before, unless you're a foreign government with a Judo-loving president.
You have become so engulfed in the propaganda you havent the faintest idea of what you are accusing President Trump of
It continually changes day by day
The
focus changes... well, tends to grow because of more information that comes out, but what his campaign is being accused and investigated for of is not.
you have become critical in so many respects, im suprised your not holding a pitch-fork

Using a Stephen Colbert image while defending Trump is kind of ironic...
