Reading this..
"Northern England accent"... i was expecting "is that a Geordie?"...NOPE
Apparently Newcastle has moved 90 miles+ south

You are correct, it does indeed sound like a Yorkshire accent from "hally" the female docking agent
Fly safe- If ye knaw whot wor means leek
If its the female voice - I think she's from somewhere N of Manchester - possible Rochdale or Oldham - as opposed to W.Yorks
I always think of Jane Horrocks, who's from Rawtenstall in Lancashire.
Oldham - deffo ...
Garforth Street probably ....
Featherstall at a push .....

Yeah if it's the one I thinking of this is correct. It's something like Preston, Bolton, or Wigan
Funny you should use that quote...
Listening to the flight controller's voice again, it actually reminds me of Hilda Ogden, a character from Coronation Street (for those you may not know).

Watching that video from the Rovers Return just shows up how the writing has deteriorated in recent years in Corrie. Some of the lines in that scene are bitingly sharp. Especially Alec Gilroy being tight, and Hilda inferring that Vera is a scrubber.
Scrubber is british slang for a woman who is somewhat promiscuous.
