Yup, at least there is that and i have tickets. :)

But, i might as well go and check RSI presentation. That is if they have anything to present..

I'm sure they have something to present.

But that something may be completely random like presenting all the features in their home made forum software for example.

The "word on the street" is they've put together something that looks really cool and will be demoed live.

I have no way to back this up or confirm it, just a rumour at this point. I did however develop a strange feeling, deep down in my plums, that it is a completely standalone and disconnected entity from the PU build.

For the first time in a while I am genuinely surprised. If they have nothing to reveal of 3.0(Lite) at Gamescom, what on earth have all those backers paid 30 Euros to go and see at the off campus "after show?"

To pay Chris hotel bill? I mean it has worked so far.

As for delay I will just repeat same thing I said last year - SC is kaput. Trying to salvage it and insist that it is something that can launch is beyond poor show.

Well they're selling everything that isn't tied down over there that can be tied to SC. Anyone want to buy a SC sink or socks? This is worse than the hawkers outside a baseball game. And the sad, but funny too, thing is the fans are buying this stuff like their lives depended on them. Each day of reading here and over on their forums makes me wonder if I shouldn't get my money back. And yet, stupid or smart, I hang in there waiting along with the multitudes.

I disagree.

They will continue to delay, and offer more and more increasingly amusing excuses for lack of productivity, while simultaneously bringing up solutions for obscure blockers and fanciful sales for concept immersion chariots, announce multiple new Vision things, and release reworks of things completely finished years ago.

Don't give up on SC just yet.

Your lulzbucket will love you for it :D

Maybe SQ42 trailer/demo for Gamescon? It's been almost a year now since it was nearly ready, but oh so close (the first non-playable demonstration of the first bit) and they made a special video about how hard they worked but just narrowly missed... it seems likely they will have something to show after almost 12 months of additional work.

If they have yet another smoke and mirrors cheering fan-boy demo of some Star Citizen atmospheric planet "live game-play" ,completely unrelated to the struggling Alpha, followed by a concept sale... I'll probably see if they are still giving refunds.

According to internal sources - which have been verified partially - Squadron 42 is basically shelved at this point and gameplay design happens in SC 3.0 alpha branch.

They will show some demo though. But get refund, it is now or never.

No surprise. Two more weeks.

What will show at Gamescom will be the usual rubbish. Something showing something cool, that is NOT actually the game, won't be released for the game, but is a tailored demo for the show. It's happened before and it will happen again.

Hello, checking back in, because it's almost August. Can someone update me with the tl;dr of the latest weeks of game development?

Nothing interesting. There was a sale of a ground vehicle, delays (the latest one just after the sale ended) have pushed the release date on live servers to 4th-8th of September, Gamescom is in a middle of the PTU release window, so public 3.0 is unlikely to make an appearance. There's some kind of press demo at least, as PCGamer has written an article on 3.0. Also, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0_Prv2MOg0

Links or evidence or I'll assume you're still trolling and attention seeking ;)

I still find it totally incredulous that these 'partially verified internal sources' can never be quoted...and please... no links to reddit or some social media outlet inhabited by failed game developers...
