I've been out of the loop for awhile. All my elite documents were on another computer, so I've lost my pictures for rare trading routes and all of my in-game and out of game tools. After checking Inara I found out there is a vessel I could not worry so much about, and since I've always wanted a luxury liner I bought a Dolphin. Now, I own a Python, and I own a ASPX that is fully kitted and A rated. Problem is I stopped playing the game when Engineers came out. Now I'm back into it and have a Rift too. I had the most exciting time the other day looking for a crashed spaceship and once again I find myself sucked into the game. Before, exploration really hit me, but now with passengers I've found a new route to riches. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I have a few specific questions.
1. If a passenger wants to see a specific site, how do I find and jump to that? Last time I just jumped to the nearest station and was promptly blown to bits after finding out I was harbouring a criminal.
2. In VR, how do I use the starmap? It seems ultra hard to click anything I want.
3. A passenger requested a 1700 ly trip out of the bubble, how do I manage that if I can't plot a direct course? Also, how do I find stars in between me and their ultimate destination?
Those are the specifics, but I'd love any opinions about this playstyle and I sure could use some general advice, do's and don'ts and whatnot.
