Engineers Rarity of Abnormal Compact Emission data makes no sense at all because...

It is needed for engineering mods that many CMDRs will never go for !

Clean Drive 5 : Many ignore CD because it makes no sense to do over CD3 , CD4 or any of the DD mods
Long Range 5 for Sensors, KWS & Wake scanner : Do G4 or search for hours to do G5 for 20% better range ?(I prefer the FAST scan)
Long Range 5 for Detailed Surface Scanner : No one in their right mind(especially Exporers) would do this to increase the mass of their scanner by +200% !!!

I feel for those who are searching for this Data :(

It is what 3 ton increase, why would no one explorers be bothered by that. Only seeking absolute max jump range would it be an issue but long rangers on scanning worlds seems to be a nice QOL increase in my experience and

I'm doing the long range mod for my DSS regulary on all my explorer ships. The DSS has only 1.3t of mass so it doesn't really matter but speeds up all scans massively!
The abnormal compact emission data can be found in huge quantities when lurking in CZ's or when traveling to a system in lockdown and basic scan all authority ships in SC or at those checkpoints that spawn (nobody drops in there ever :D)

I went on a trip out through the Rift a few months back. I took a long-range DSS and it was awesome. Scanned many more planets than I otherwise would have because you don't waste time flying up to each one. My exploring Asp still had a jump range of around 47LY, so trade-off in weight was negligible and well worth it. Cashed in all those scans for many millions.
